J'ai viré Lenny et je l'ai remplacée par Squeeze, avec KDE. Solution radicale, l'affichage est impeccable et de plus ma carte son externe est reconnue directement.

J'avais déjà essayé le nvidia-xconfig, et j'ai bien uniquement la résolution 640x480 qui m'est proposée.

Je le refais pour te montrer le fichier xorg.conf que cela me donne.
Je te donne aussi le nouveau xrandr -q :

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 640 x 480, maximum 640 x 480
default connected 640x480+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   640x480        50.0*
   320x240        51.0


Et sinon pour l'écran il peut monter jusqu'à 1440x900 et pour la fréquence de rafraichissement je ne sais pas en tout cas gnome me propose 60Hz. Pour info le modèle est VW192s d'ASUS.
Cela marchait très bien sous Fedora et sous Ubuntu, alors je ne comprend pas trop là.

Et bien j'avais déjà essayé avec les drivers propriétaires, ce qui me donnais quelque chose de pire : j'avais juste accès à la résolution 640x480.

Bonjour,

Je viens d'iinstaller Debian, et possédant un écran 16/10 je souhaiterais utiliser une résolution de 1280x1024. Problème : je ne trouve que des résolutions qui ne correspondent pas.

J'ai tenté d'installer les pilotes nvidia, libres comme propriétaires, j'ai reconfiguré le fichier de configuration xorg.conf avec l'aide de Xorg -configure, mais rien n'y fait, voici son contenu actuellement :
