Alors euh oui en effet, la carte graphique sur cet ordinateur n'est pas une Nvidia, sur celui-ci c'est la carte mère, je me suis mélangé, mea culpa.
J'ai essayé ta solution daufinsyd, j'ai donc fait :

sudo nano /etc/default/grub



Puis cherché la ligne que tu indiques et rajouté ce bout de ligne avant d'enregistrer le fichier et d'executer la commande :

sudo uptade-grub



J'ai redémarré et toujours le message

Failed to load kernel modules

avec toujours les mêmes lignes qui défilent.

Bonjour,

Je ne sais pas trop si je peux poster ici, mais j'ai trouvé un article qui pourrait t'intéresser sur les cahiers du débutant.
Dans l'article on te présente PlayOnLinux, (peut-être connais-tu ?), en gros il s'agit d'un petit logiciel qui te permet de faire tourner tes programmes Windows favoris sur ton Linux.
Ce logiciel intègre une bibliothèque avec une multitude d'installateur de programmes et jeux Windows, mais si tu ne trouve pas LE programme dans la bibliothèque tu peux très bien l'installer manuellement via PlayOnLinux, c'est très simple.
Je pense que cette solution serait plus intéressante pour toi, et plus simple, car réinstaller XP en dual boot juste pour 2-3 programmes, ça ne vaut peut-être pas le coup...

Ah parfait, justement je me demandais s'il y avait un moyen d'avoir les logs de ces messages d'erreur pour les reporter ici.
Je teste ça demain et je poste le résultat de la commande dans la foulée, directement depuis l'ordinateur maintenant que Firefox fonctionne.

Bin ouais mais je n'avais pas installé d'extension ni rien sur le profil par défaut vu que j'ai installé Debian il y a seulement 2 jours et Firefox dès le début ne fonctionnait pas.
Bref. Le résultat est là à présent Firefox fonctionne parfaitement bien et je l'ai même correctement optimisé.

Du nouveau, aujourd'hui je démarre l'ordinateur et pleins de gentils petits messages apparaissent !
En premier
failed to find cpu0 device node
Puis /dv/sd1 clean, (pas eu le temps de noter la suite)

Et maintenant :

failed to start load kernel modules [...]
see systemctl status [...]

Et pleins de messages qui commencent par [OK] en vert.

Malgré tout l'ordinateur démarre, et 1 min 15 sec après avoir appuyé sur le bouton, je me retrouve dans la session.

Bon, alors j'ai désinstallé puis réinstallé correctement avec les bons paquets et tout, j'ai essayé de lancer steam via terminal utilisateur et toujours le même message, du coup ça m'a saoulé, je l'ai re-désinstallé, pour de bon. Tant pis pour Steam, de toute façon, oui je me doute bien qu'il n'y aurait eu qu'une petite quantité de jeux compatibles avec l'ordinateur. Donc c'est pas la peine de s'embêter.
En tout cas je vous remercie d'avoir essayé de chercher une solution.

Eh bien il faut croire que le problème venait de là, j'ai crée un nouveau profil avec mon nom d'utilisateur, validé, lancé Firefox et... Ça marche !
Du coup j'ai supprimé le profil "Default", vu que de toute façon je ne pouvais pas lancer Firefox avec, j'ai bien fait ?

Edit : il y a maintenant dans /home 2 dossier .steam, (.steam_old et .steam).

Oui justement j'avais trouvé ce sujet, mais n'étant pas plus avancé, je voulais essayer de voir si sur ce forum il y avait quelqu'un qui avait une réponse à ce petit désagrément.

Et en effet il s'agit d'une machine assez ancienne, milieu des années 2000 je dirais, (même si j'en sais trop rien car acheté d'occasion), le processeur est un AMD Ahtlon XP 2500 +, 1,83GHz.

Pas sûr d'être au bon endroit...
Dernier petit problème, lors du démarrage de l'ordinateur j'ai un message d'erreur qui apparaît :

failed to find cpu0 device node


Il apparaît une première fois en gros, puis une seconde fois en plus petit avant de disparaître et de démarrer normalement le système.
Ensuite tout fonctionne comme ça devrait.

Après une brève recherche sur Google j'ai vu que je n'étais pas le seul à avoir ce problème mais n'ai pas trouvé de solution à ce petit désagrément.
Est-ce que quelqu'un sur ce forum a une idée de ce à quoi correspond ce message d'erreur ? Si oui, quelle incidence a t'il ? Et surtout existe t'il un moyen de corriger ceci ?

J'ai essayé d'installer Lubuntu y a 2-3 jours et je n'avais pas ce message avec.
