Pilotes graphiques Intel HD 4600 + Nvidia GTX 850M ( ASUS-NJK550 )

Je me permet d'ouvrir un fil, car je suis confronté à un problème similaire à celui ouvert ici :

J'en suis facilement à ma 10 install, et je dois avouer que le setup de debian commence à me sortir par les yeux.

Un petit résumé de mon épopée qui commence par une envie de dualboot sur mon nouveau matos, un portable Asus avec un proc i7 Haswell, doté du chipset Intel HD 4600 et une carte graphique GTX850M optimus (youpi)

Je compte procéder par phase, dans un premier temps ; mise en place du driver du chipset, dans un second temps, mise en place de Nvidia / Bumblebee.

Et... je suis bloqué à la première phase, pas trop loin de la fin (j'espère).

Il est important pour moi que le chipset soit optimisé, car je souhaite profiter d'un bureau agréable sans que la carte graphique doivent s'en charger, ce qui ruinerais le concept optimus et transformerais mon pc en radiateur.

Donc ce chipset :

Pour le faire fonctionner, j'ai du passer dans le kernel proposé dans wheezy-backports, avec les headers et le driver intel qui vont bien (accompagnés des firmwares realtek, les free et nonfree de linux ainssi que le package intel-microcode qui ne semble pas être requis dans mon cas, mais que j'ai installé au cas-ou)

Au reboot, le couple driver/noyau fait son effet mes TTY sont dans une résolution normale, le deuxième écran est activable...

tant et si bien que je désinstalle le noyau fourni avec wheezy (ai-je bien fait ? pas sur...)

Mais arrivé sur le burreau graphique les performances ne sont pas à la hauteur de ce à quoi je m'attendais, (gnome en restreint, kde refuse tout effet graphique  que ceux par défaut, avec même une erreur pour l'un de ceux par défaut, conernant les info de chargement, que j'ai fini par désactiver pour accélérer le démarage)

Comme je ne savais pas comment consulter le driver utilisé par le serveur X, je décide de blacklister "nouveau" par acquis de conscience. (oui je sais le nom de fichier est un peu trop générique, mais je considère cette install comme un environement de développement, je m'engage à publier une procédure propre avant de cliquer sur "résolu" ;-)

Outre le fait que les deux bureau graphiques testé fonctionnent en mode restreint, (ce qui ne me semble pas proportionnel à la capacité du chipset) la commande suivante (et surtout son retour) m'a confirmé que quelque chose d'anormal se tramait en coulisse.

J'ai tenté de créer un fichier un fichier de configuration X pour intel, je ne suis pas très à l'aise avec xorg, c'est peut être un coup d'épée dans l'eau, ou peut être manque-t'il quelque chose ici !

Hé bien ça dépend.
Quand tu installeras Bumblebee, il se chargera d'installer le pilote nvidia (si tu ne choisis pas le pilote libre).
Il aura besoin de dkms pour compiler le module pour tous les noyaux présents, ce qui nécessite les headers correspondant à ces noyaux.
En conclusion, seulement si tu es certain que ce noyau-là ne convient pas, c'est ok pour le supprimer.  smile

Pour les erreurs rencontrées, je ne vois pas.  hmm

Justement, il me semble que l'installation de bumblebee-nvidia même dans le dépot backports me réinstalle le noyeau stable actuel.

Cependant, comme j'ai besoin du noyau testing pour faire fonctionner mon chipset, réinstaller le noyau stable pour pouvoir utiliser bumblebee et le driver nvidia semble problématique.

Comme on choisi sous quel noyau on démarre, et que je démarrerai sur le noyau testing, bumblebee risque de ne pas fonctionner puis ce que le noyau dont il semble avoir "besoin" n'est pas chargé...

La suite s'annonce palpitante... cela dit comme énoncé dans mon premier post, je souhaite voir ce chipset délivrer sa puissance optimale avant de venir chatouiller ma carte graphique et le portage linux de optimus.


Oui cette erreur est particulièrement peu documenté... et pourtant elle aboutit sur toutes mes tentatives.
