KMS utilise la mauvaise sortie vidéo.

Salut à tous,
J'ai un Dell inspiron avec debian 9 mais rien n'est affiché lors du démarrage sur l’écran intégré (1366x768) il semble qu'il utilise une sortie qui est dans le chipset mais qui n'est pas physiquement présente. Après quelques recherches, il semble que cette décision est prise par KMS Lorsque je désactive KMS avec nomodeset mon tty est affiché sur l'écran de l'ordinateur portable. Le problème est que mon pilote graphique Intel nécessite KMS pour être activé et donc m'empêche de démarrer le serveur X sans KMS. Quand j'utilse la sortie HDMI (1920x1080), les deux écrans fonctionnent en mode étendu.

1- sur un démarrage sans écran externe ton écran du portable ne s'allume pas (meme a l invite de logging graphique ? )
2-sur un démarrage avec un écran externe en HDMI ton bureau est étendu , ça fonctionne bien ,ton bureau est sur l'écran du portable ? (ou sur l'écran HDMI )

nota : pour KMS le driver intel est plus performant que celui du paquet  xsever-xorg-video-intel

tu peu peut etre donner le type de gpu intel de ton portable ?
pour la sortie vidéo qui est virtuelle , j en suis pas persuadé , une mauvaise définition (ou fréquence (hors limite) ) peu provoquer un écran noir . (a moins que tu est des informations que tu n'a pas posté ? )
répond aux questions ça va aider les membres a te guider  smile  ( d'utiliser l'écran HDMI externe va te permettre de faire les tests si besoin )
ps: KMS donne la définition optimale dés le démarrage  (donc après le chargement de grub et son menu ) , le chargement du serveur X se fait juste avant l invite de logging graphique .

C'est ce que j'ai vu de mes recherche sur le web mais oui c'est possible, sachant que je n'ai rien configuré (xorg.conf/grub)!

(a moins que tu est des informations que tu n'a pas posté ? )

donc je suppose que jamais tu retrouve ton bureau , ce qui est inquiétant , parce que normalement le serveur X prend la main et tu devrais avoir au moins la main pour entrer ton user et mdp .
et pour le cas avec l'écran HDMI je suppose que ton bureau est sur l'écran du portable et le HDMI est en "étendu" et vide .
je vois pas trop ce qu il se passe roll , pour gnome et stretch ton Xorg.1.log est dans ton dossier "user"

si tu viens d' allumer ton portable tu aura dans /home/user/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.1.log
nota: le dossier " .local " est cachè , il faut que tu affiche "fichiers et dossiers cachés "

sinon tu peu avoir Xorg.1.log et Xorg.1.log.old (le premier correspond au plus récent , le second le plus ancien ) .
si tu fais un démarrage sur l écran du portable puis un second avec le HDMI (tu aura les 2 logs , un qui bug (écran noir) et l autre bon (avec écran HDMI branché)

ps: je pense a un bug de debian (plus spécialement du noyau 4.8 ) mais sans certitude , voir ce que les autres membres en pense hmm

Il s'allume jusqu’à ce que démarre gdm et la il y a un écran noir même le rétroéclairage est inactif.

ps: je pense a un bug de debian (plus spécialement du noyau 4.8 ) mais sans certitude , voir ce que les autres membres en pense hmm

donc l'écran du portable (sans HDMI ) affiche quelque chose jusqu au moment ou GDM3 lance l invite de logging graphique ?

si tu fais la combinaison de touches "Ctrl+Alt+F1" tu récupère l'écran ou la machine te semble planté ?

le passage au noyau 4.9 n'a rien changé  roll

il faudrait que quelqu un te guide pour appliquer  nomodeset=1 ou 0   ou modeset = 1 ou 0
j'ai pas trop l habitude sur les options du kernel ( il faudrait que je m habitue a le faire  roll  )

sinon en général je switch sur Mate + lightdm pour confirmer ou pas que le souci est identique et ensuite j en déduis le problème .

si tu désactive KMS tu va utiliser le driver du paquet "xserver-xorg-video-intel"  du serveur X (au lieu du virtuel de KMS)

si quelqu un veut bien te guider pour le désactiver , soit par le menu de grub soit dans les options du noyau ça serait sympa . (pour faire un test )

Oui mais sans X (et même avec mate & ldm) aussi il y a rien qui s'affiche (par contre ça fonctionne avec xfce apparemment) sauf en nomodeset (le mode recovery de debian (sans X ect) il a aussi besoin de nomodeset pour se lancer) (c'est pour ça que je pense que ça vient de KMS: mais oui regarde les liens j'y ai trouvé pas mal de trucs intéressants)

La machine à l'air complémentent planté j'ai pas de retour du noyau (Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+Del)

J'ai testé avec Mate et ça n'a pas fonctionné et avec xfce qui lui a fonctionné mais vu que gnome fonctionne quand la sortie HDMI est branché j'ai vraiment l'impression que ça vient de KMS.

c'est dingue ce truc , je suis ton post mais je comprends comment c'est possible d activer une sortie vidéo virtuelle alors qu' avec 2 écrans tout est correct  scratchhead.gif
