Driver écran utilisé

Bonjour,
lors de mon installation, j'ai installé xorg un peu à la manière bourrine avec tout finalement, dans l'instant je ne voulais pas chercher le paquet nécesaire et je voulais un pc rapidement utilisable toutefois.
Mais maintenant, j'aspire à une installation claire avec le moins possible de choses.
D'où ma question : comment repérer le paquet utilisé pour l'écran ?
Voici ma commande : lspci | grep VGA

Bonsoir,

Il s'agit semble-t-il d'un GPU très récent (2016), genre Intel HD Graphics 500 (Apollo Lake), pris en charge par le pilote i915 du noyau à partir de la version 4.6, selon Cathy :

lspci -nnk | grep VGA -A 2


Et pour aller plus loin :

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log


Si tu postes le résultat, n'hésite pas à employer les balises qui vont bien smile

edit: le paquet xserver-xorg-video-intel serait donc inutile, mais pas le paquet xserver-xorg-video-modesetting

ils faudra plus de précisions sur ton installation .
si tu a installé jessie , si tu utilise les backports de jessie , quel noyau tu a d'installé ?
le paquet xserver-xorg-video-modesetting n existe plus sur stretch c'est un paquet générique de KMS
donc avec le noyau 4.9 par exemple il risque d etre inutile (remplacé par un paquet virtuel )
si j ai bien compris ta question tu veut nettoyer tous les paquets vidéo inutile ?
nota : pour savoir ce qui est utilisé visualiser le log du serveur X comme t'a demandé  èfpé

C'est cela nettoyer les paquets xorg inutiles. Je me suis mal exprimé encore...

Quant à l'ordi c'est le ldlc mercure de base qui est effectivement assez récent. Comme j'utilise ce portable pour le boulot, je voulais quelque chose de très stable, et mettre jessie avec les backports j'avoue que je n'aime pas trop, bref et il me fallait un noyau très récent. En attendant stretch, j'ai mis ubuntu dernière du nom, je triche un peu ok. Mais dès que stretch ok je bascule. Je ne comprends pas trop la consommation de base en ram d'ubuntu 2 fois plus élevé qu'une installation de jessie pour une même installation

la 3D n'est pas fonctionnelle , DRI2 ne fonctionne pas et GLX est en mode logiciel (pas matèriel )
tu aura un meilleur résultat avec stretch ( avis personnel ) plus stable que ta version d ubuntu )
si tu vous va bien avec stretch tu peut enlever tous les paquets du serveur X relatif au driver video (sauf le vesa qui te permet un minimum en cas de soucis )
je sais pas quel bureau tu a , mais gnome ou KDE risque de poser problème sans DRI et GLX .
tu ne donne aucune information sur ta machine difficile de te répondre correctement

stretch est prévu. J'avoue que sid je n'ai pas envie d'avoir un système à changer surtout pour un ordinateur de boulot. Après testing n'a pas les maj de sécurité rapidement.

La 3D c'est quoi wink avec dwm je vais pas très loin dans ce truc là.

tu peut installer quelques paquets des backports de jessie pour une meilleure prise en charge du matériel .
après avoir mit a jour ton sources.list

tu poste le retour de cette commande
et ainsi tu pourra rester sur jessie , le temps que stretch passe stable et meme après  smile

Merci pour ta réponse.

Je vais attendre que stretch sorte, de plus je suis dans une période où bidouiller sur mon ordi n'est pas la meilleure idée que je puisse avoir.
Le SSD est effectivement de 60Go, il me reste encore 35 Go dessus (sachant que il y a 9 Go de fichiers pour ma pomme) et le système contient latex qui est assez gourmand en place. La place n'est pas un problème, le truc est que je voudrais un système minimaliste avec ce qu'il y a sert rien d'inutile.

A suivre au prochain épisode, je me rends aussi compte qu'on est sur un forum debian et que je n'ai pas encore la bonne distri difficile dans ce cas de répondre.
J'aurais pas mal de questions quand j'aborderai stretch, la gestion de la swap par exemple.
