[RÉSOLU] Ecran freeze suite à installation bumblebee

Coucou smile

J'ai récemment installé Debian Stretch sur mon PC portable Asus ROG avec une CG Nvidia 960m, j'ai vu sur internet que Linux avait quelques problèmes lorsqu'il devait gérer 2 CG mais qu'il existait une solution avec Bumblebee. J'ai donc suivi ce tuto:

J'ai essayé l'installation avec le module nouveau et le module prioritaire Nvidia et dans les deux cas lorsque j'arrive sur la page de log-in, j'entre mes identifiants et tout de suite après avoir cliqué sur le bouton connecter j'ai subitement un écran noir qui s'éteint et PLUS rien ne fonctionne.

Je souligne que si je fais Ctrl+Alt+F2 j'arrive à me connecter en terminal SANS interface graphique et tout marche parfaitement. C'est seulement lorsque je me connecte en interface graphique que j'ai cet écran noir. J'ai cherché partout et je n'arrive pas à trouver la solution sad

Je ne sais pas si ça peut aider, mais lorsque j'utilise "nvidia-detect" le terminal se met à crash et impossible de reprendre le control.


Info complémentaire: Avant d'installer bumblebee et les pilotes Nvidia, je devais taper dans le grub au lancement ces commandes:

nouveau.modeset=0



Si je ne faisais pas ça, une fois que j'entrais mes logs mon clavier et mon pavé tactile ne répondais plus. J'ai lu sur internet que ceci permettait au lancement de désactiver la CG Nvidia et tout fonctionnait parfaitement.

il se peu que ton portable n'ai  qu'une carte nvidia , il faudrai la référence exacte , Asus Rog ça ne suffit pas.

quand tu est en console pure , tape la commande lspci


lspci
 


et poste le retour sur le forum (si tu a une autre machine pour te connecter au forum )
nota : par la combinaison des touches Ctrl+Alt+F1 a l invite de loging , ou si ça plante (comme tu a fait sur ton post ci dessus )

ce qui nous intéresse : (un exemple )

c'est les lignes qui commence par "VGA"

pour ceci "nouveau.modeset=0" tu a blacklisté nouveau de KMS (modesetting du noyau ) a quel endroit a tu entrer cette ligne , dans GRUB ? ou ailleurs ?

tu a aussi nouveau qui peut etre blacklisté par un fichier dans /etc/mod-probe.d/20-blacklist-nouveau.conf  avec ceci dedans

je te conseille pour travailler convenablement d utiliser le bureau Mate au lieu de gnome


apt-get update
 




apt-get install mate-core lightdm synaptic gedit
 


a la question quel lanceur sélectionner répond "lightdm"   (ne plus utiliser gdm3)

desinstaller bumblebee et le purger (tu dois purger aussi le driver nvidia si besoin )

gnome pose problème pour les ressources graphiques si le serveur X fonctionne mal , mate demande moins de ressources , lorsque ton portable sera bien configuré tu pourra remettre gnome.
normalement tu devrais pouvoir ouvrir ton bureau Mate

tu dois te trouver en "vesa" et une définition pourri
tu peu enlever "nouveau.modeset=0"  (pour remettre KMS en service) et supprimer le fichier  "20-blacklist-nouveau.conf" pour enlever le blacklistage de nouveau , un reboot
tu dois toujours pouvoir te connecter a ton bureau Mate.
si jusque la tout va bien on verra pour la suite

Salut anonyme, merci pour ta réponse rapide.

Donc pour te répondre,

Arrivé sur grub, j'appui sur e pour éditer puis je l'ai ajouté à la ligne qui débute par linux et qui se termine par quiet au début ça marchait quand j'entrais cette ligne mais depuis que j'ai installé Bumblebee cette astuce ne fonctionne plus avec ou sans.

Quant aux logs de lspci je n'ai qu'une seule ligne VGA mais une autre qui mentionne ma GTX 960m.

ok donc tu a le driver nvidia installé a cause de ceci "cat /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-blacklists-nouveau.conf"
il faudrait le désinstaller  (ainsi que bumblebee )
tu a 2 cartes , une intel et une nvidia
je pense que gnome plante parce que ta carte intel est mal reconnu
donc il faut commencer par la (et ignorer la nvidia pour l instant )
nota : relit mon premier post au dessus je l ai complété

si tu est a l'aise en console pure (pas graphique) tu peu rester sous gnome (mais sans te logger)
purger bumblebee et le driver nvidia

avec le driver de KMS (pour intel) je pense que tu peu faire ceci :


pour bumblebee un "remove --purge" de ce que tu a installé
pour nvidia


apt-get remove --purge nvidia*
 



apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
 


il faut un reboot ensuite

si tu a bien désinstallé nvidia , ceci ne doit plus exister : =>  cat /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-blacklists-nouveau.conf

Ok donc voici ce que j'ai fais:

apt-get remove --purge nvidia*
apt-get remove --purge bumblebee
 



J'ai ensuite installé Mate comme demandé:

 apt-get install mate-core lightdm synaptic gedit



Supprimé le fichier qui blacklist le module nouveau:

rm /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-blacklists-nouveau.conf



Je reboot, j'arrive au moment de log-in dans l'interface Mate. J'entre mon username et mon password mais dès que je me connecte je n'ai que le fond d'écran qui s'affiche et la souris que je peu déplacer. Rien d'autre.

EDIT: Ok si je peux rester en console pure je le ferais ça ne me dérange absolument pas.

tu utilise bien "lightdm" pour te logger sur le bureau et tu choisi mate comme bureau (voir en haut a droite , choix du bureau a l invite de logging )
nota : pour le lanceur gdm3 c'est le petit engrenage pour le choix du bureau (en dessous l endroit ou tu entre le mot de passe )

Ah punaise quel boulet excuse moi j'étais bien sosu lightdm mais je n'avais pas choisis Mate. C'est bon là ça marche parfaitement avec l'interface Mate !

ok bon je te préviens suis plutot "PC bureau" donc je connais bien intel , je connais bien nvidia mais pour bumblebee je laisserai faire les jeun's wink

pour intel jeter un oeil sur le Xorg.0.log : qui se trouve
pour Mate dans


cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
 



nota : pour gnome tu le trouve dans ton /home/user/.local/share/X11/Xorg.0.log  (bon de tete , peut etre une erreur ), on le trouve aussi dans /usr/gdm3 (un truc comme ça tongue ) pour la suite si tu repasse a gnome
le log doit etre daté du dernier démarrage de la machine (leur truc de mettre les logs un peu partout pas cool pour savoir ci c'est le bon )
donc toi c'est le premier au dessus pour mate (/var/log/Xorg.0.log )

normalement avec un cpu SkyLake (530)  KMS doit bien fonctionner , donc si tu a supprimé le driver intel et nouveau (comme indiqué au dessus )  le retour du log doit etre correct pour intel.
avec les balises "code" tu dois pouvoir le poster ( a partir du bureau )

ps: gnome a besoin de DRI2 et GLX configuré correctement

donc on est bien d'accord tu a supprimé le "xserver-xorg-video-nouveau" et "xserver-xorg-video-intel"  ?

vérifier le paquet présent "firmware-misc-nonfree"


apt-get --reinstall install firmware-misc-nonfree
 


nota: ce paquet permet de mieux utiliser kabylake pour intel ( et peut etre aussi ton nvidia avec nouveau sous réserve jamais testé)
un reboot

essaie de te logger sur ton bureau gnome (pas sur qu il fonctionne avec lightdm )

si j ai rien oublié , tu a un driver ok pour intel , demain tu aura surement des réponses pour bumblebee ( et comment bien l installer je suppose avec le driver propriétaire des dépots )

si gnome ne se lance pas il y a surement encore un souci (mais je pense qu il va fonctionner ) si tu enlève mate pense aussi a enlever lightdm pour revenir a gdm3 qui est le lanceur officiel de gnome

je te conseille si gnome est OK , de juste enlever lightdm :


apt-get remove lightdm
 


redémarrer avec gdm3 + gnome
de nettoyer mate tranquillement avec synaptic par la suite (mate-core est trés léger )

J'ai reinstaller le paquet firmware-misc-nonfree ça m'a téléchargé quelques trucs mais lorsque je me logg sur le bureau sous gnome avec le lanceur lightdm ça m'affiche le fond d'écran uniquement avec la souris que je peux déplacer, rien d'autre.

Si je lance avec le lanceur gdm3, une fois que j'entre mon username et mon password et que j'appuis sur connecter l'écran devient noire et s'éteint et je retourne au problème initial sad


EDIT: Je peux tout de même utiliser la console via ctrl+alt+F1

Alors cette fois-ci, si je choisis gnome-classic j'ai le fond d'écran gris qui s'affiche mais tout est figé, souris et clavier.

Information qui peut être utile, au moment du boot arrivé à grub j'appuis sur e et j'ajoute à la ligne qui débute par linux et qui termine par quiet tout à la fin je rajoute:

nouveau.modeset=0



Avec le bureau gnome-classic et gnome une fois loggé tout fonctionne parfaitement.

EDIT: Oui avec gdm3 je peu entrer sur mate lorsque j'ai la commande "nouveau.modeset=0" activé dans grub, dans le cas contraire une fois log le PC se fige avec le fond d'écran et la souris qui est impossible à déplacer.

donc un bug avec nouveau , mais ton bureau a bien la définition native de l'écran ?  ça te semble correct ?
mais avec le driver nvidia normalement le driver nouveau est désactivé (du serveur X et de KMS )
avec les portables toujours des embrouilles tongue
a voir avec bumblebee ce que ça va donner
pour grub tu peu la rentrer en dur cette commande et meme je pense quelle fonctionne aussi dans /etc/modprobe.d/tonfichier.conf  avec le contenu "nouveau.modeset=0"

tu devrais faire des tests de mesa

avec le paquet "mesa-utils"

pour tester ton gpu intel (moi ici en exemple une nvidia )

je sais comment Asus a configuré ses 2 gpu mais le duo gdm3 + gnome bloque sur le module "nouveau" (en espérant que pour bumblebee ça ne pose pas problème )
actuellement tu a désactivé nouveau (du noyau et du serveur X) peut etre une recherche sur ton type de portable sur le net voir si le problème  est connu
en tout cas nouveau-modeset=0  ne dérange en rien le bon fonctionnement , meme avec bumblebee-nvidia

Niveau résolution je suis impeccable. En 1920*1080 y'a aucun problème d'affichage.

c'est parfait pour intel , soit tu attends demain pour bumblebee-nvidia le retour des membres qui ont un portable  (pas la peine de tester bumblebee avec nouveau wink  )
soit tu teste maintenant , tu utilise le wiki de debian facile ?

Alors oui je utilise le wiki de debian facile et je suis scrupuleusement tous ce qu'il y a d'écrit.

Ok donc voici du nouveau ! J'ai suivi la doc debian-facile pour re-installer Bumblebee( https://debian-facile.org/doc:materiel: … ia:optimus ) avec les drivers nvidia prioritaire vu que nouveau ne fonctionnait visiblement pas et après ça ne fonctionne toujours pas. gdm3 fonctionne parfaitement et lorsque j'essaye de me logger sous Mate ou Gnome j'ai l'écran qui se fige sur le fond d'écran avec la souris qui est impossible à bouger.

Voici ce que j'ai fais:

apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-xconfig nvidia-settings nvidia-vdpau-driver vdpau-va-driver mesa-utils bumblebee-nvidia primus xserver-xorg-video-nvidia linux-headers-$(uname -r)



J'ai bien fais attention à ce qu'il n'y ai pas de fichier xorg.conf

J'ai vérifié si les pilotes nouveau étaient bien désactivé, c'était le cas:

lsmod | egrep -i "nouveau|vga_switcheroo"


Aucune réponse, ça signifiait que tout a bien été fait



J'ai téléchargé et installé virtualgl_2.5.2_amd64.deb

dpkg -i virtualgl_2.5.2_amd64.deb



Ajouté les utilisateurs au groupe bumblebee, installation terminé on me demande dans le wiki de reboot le portable.

Après reboot, gdm3 fonctionne mais tout se fige lorsque je me log sous Mate ou Gnome et le pc ne répond plus.

Alors voilà, problème résolue !! smile

J'ai trouvé une solution sur internet sur un forum anglais alors de ce que j'ai compris, le problème du freeze venait du fait que le module nvidia n'était pas chargé. Je met la solution ici peut être que ceci pourrait aider quelqu'un qui avait le même problème que moi.


Arrivé sur gdm3, je me met en mode console Ctrl+Alt+F1 et j'entre cette commande:

modprobe nvidia



Je créer le fichier "nvidia.service" dans "/etc/systemd/system/"

vim  /etc/systemd/system/nvidia.service



[Unit]
Description=Nvidia Load
After=rc-local.service systemd-user-sessions.service

[Service]
ExecStart=/bin/sh -c "/sbin/modprobe nvidia"

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target



J'enregistre et j'active donc ce service via cette commande en root

systemctl daemon-reload;systemctl enable nvidia.service


Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/nvidia.service -> /etc/systemd/system/nvidia.service.
