Je ne sais pas si cela peut faire avancer la solution à mon problème.
Mais ...j ai essayé d importer des photos dans mon logiy de photos préféré (darktable)
Et ....rien ... il affiche le chargement avec le nombre de photos mais aucune photo be s affiche à l ossu de l importation.

Je suis en pause méridienne ...je reviens vers vous ce soir

Le retour xrandr est bon, que l'image soit déformé avec une résolution 4/3 est tout a fait normale
maintenant il faut comprendre pourquoi il manque une partie du bureau si on lui met la bonne résolution
pour bien faire il nous faudrait une copie d'écran pour se rendre compte

moi ce qui me dérange sur le #19 c'est le reboot qui a planté
sinon pour l'instant rien ne dit que son driver a un souci (je lui ai fait un récapitulatif de ce qu il peu regarder )
en espérant qu il puisse répondre a mes questions (au sujet de l'installation et des bureaux installés en autre )
de forte chances qu il y ai un bug sur son bureau mais lequel

il a réussi a mettre la résolution native sur l'écran ? (tu dis il manque une partie du bureau)

nota: si un membre peu nous dire ou se trouve le log de X dans KDE
et quel choix on a pour les bureaux (si comme gnome => classic , normal (sous X) , wayland etc ..... )

Avec le log de X , si il le poste je pourrai dire si tout va bien , ça enlèvera un doute.

Bon voilà qq précisions littérales : un je suis une bille en informatique
Deux je viens de remettre tous les paramètres par défaut dans "configuration système"

Je suis toujours avec un affichage d'un lanceur d'applications énorme ...( du reste les icônes de chaque paramètre police etc ... sont petits je trouve et ne réagissent pas aux modifs non plus).

Je reste dispo pour toute demande pouvznt m'aider à résoudre mon affichage.
( peut être pourrai essayer un autre bureau mais je vous rappelle que mon logiciel de retouches photos préféré : Darktable dont je connais parfaitement le fonctionnement ....!!! n'affiche pas les photos importées, j'ai bien la barre d'importations avec le défilement du nombre de photos importées mais pas de photos visibles) .

tu as redémarré après ?
Tu sembles avoir davantage un problème avec kde qu'avec la carte graphique. La commande indique la bonne résolution.
J'avoue qu'une image serait parlante pour une fois
Pour tes images importées avec darktable, tu dois les retrouver dans un dossier du dossier Images mais ça doit faire l'objet d'un autre fil car ce n'est pas le même problème

ta machine est a base de Ryzen , faudra que tu pense a migrer sur Buster . ( bien que ça fonctionne sous stretch correctement )
le driver je vois rien d' anormal , ton écran samsung est bien reconnu

l'installation est récente ?
essayer un autre bureau ce serait pas mal , bien que le lanceur (gestionnaire de connection ) de KDE va rester commun aux autres bureaux

Darktable fonctionne sous debian quelque soit le bureau ?

moi je peu plus rien pour toi , KDE je l'ai testé mais très peu de temps et j'aime pas , et je le connais pas du tout.

Darktable gère des négatifs numériques dans une base de données et permet

de les visionner à l’aide d’une table lumineuse munie d’un zoom. Il permet

de développer des images brutes et de les améliorer.

Il essaie de combler le vide existant entre les nombreux et excellents

convertisseurs libres d’images brutes et les outils de gestion d’images

(tels qu’ufraw ou f-spot). L’interface utilisateur est bâtie autour d’une

mise en cache efficace de métadonnées d’image et des « mipmaps », le tout

étant stocké dans une base de données. L’utilisateur pourra toujours

interagir, même si l’image n’est pas encore chargée dans sa résolution

maximale.

Toutes les éditions sont entièrement non destructives et agissent

uniquement sur des tampons de cache d’image pour leur affichage. L’image

complète est seulement transférée lors de l’exportation. Le frontal est

écrit GTK+ et Cairo, la base de données utilise SQLite 3, le chargement de

l’image brute est réalisé avec rawspeed, une grande gamme dynamique et les

formats d’image standard tel que JPEG sont pris en charge. L’activité du

noyau s’effectue entièrement sur des valeurs en virgule flottante, ce qui

fait que darktable peut non seulement être utilisé en photographie, mais

aussi pour des images scientifiques ou la sortie de moteur de rendu (gamme

dynamique élevée).

moi a ta place je met Buster avec un noyau 4.15 , ton matériel va beaucoup mieux ce comporter , de grande chance que la GTX1050 fonctionne avec nouveau
tu aura la température du processeur , les composants de la carte mère seront mieux géré
et j' installe Gnome qui te propose une multitude de bureau (du basic au sophistiqué )
mais bon c'est une solution extrème

Darktable fonctionne sous debian quelque soit le bureau ?

en tout cas , sous buster testing gnome , darktable fonctionne très bien .

eurêka j'ai trouvé ...
En fait ce problème d'affichage était présent dès l'installation de mon système.
J'ai un menu sur mon écran et .... et .... il était paramétré en 16/9 !!!
Du coup quand j'ai modifié en ajustant à la taille de l'écran ma barre des tâches est revenue.
De là, je regarde l'incidence de changements de police dans configurations système est tout redevient normal.

Voilà c'était un truc tout bête
Désolé de vous avoir fait chercher tant de temps ...confus même de vous avoir sollicités.

En tout cas je me précipite pour clôre le sujet par un beau résolu !!!

Bon en regardant dans ton log, ça semble être un problème d'écran, il envoie des mauvaises informations à ta carte vidéo …

«normalement» un DPI, dot per inch, point par pouce tourne autour de 96

chez moi :

lau @s : xdpyinfo | grep inch
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch

Toi, si il met 304 points, ben ça fait beaucoup

une solution est de forcer les DPI du driver nvidia pour pas qu'il les demande à l'écran avec l'option

Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"

Tu peux essayer de faire ça :

- voir si tu as un fichier dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ qui configurerait ta carte nvidia ou bien un fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf qui ferait pareil
- tu peux voir si ça configure ta carte s'il y a des trucs comme ça :

Driver "nvidia"

…

- si tu as le fichier, tu modifies en ajoutant les lignes

Option "UseEdidDpi" "False"
Option "DPI" "96 x 96"

- et si tu n'as pas de fichier, ben tu crées /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-nvidia.conf

et tu mets dedans

Sinon, faudra penser à t'acheter un vrai écran avec une belle résolution 4K, tu as le matos pour gérer ça … cela a marché mais je réfléchis à en acheter un nouveau pour la photo Merci mon lolo

Ah oui je suis une personne sur qui on peut compter solidaire coopérant mais nul en informatique ( alors sans rancoeur à ceux qui ne parlent aux nuls je suis un commun des mortels entier et vivant)
