Carte graphique 82G33/G31 : où est le bon paquet ?

Qu'est-ce qu'elle a, ma carte graphique, pour être si difficile à installer ?

J'ai installé des tas de paquets... pour les désinstaller, mais rien  n'y fait.

J'ai consulté ceci : https://wiki.debian.org/fr/GraphicsCard
et cela aussi : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/intel_graphics

Je me goure, mais... où ??

Pourrais-tu nous en dire un petit peu plus sur le problème ? en quoi est-ce si difficile à installer ?

dmesg | egrep 'DMI:|firmware'


edit: correction de la commande lscpi

Ces commandes nous en diront davantage à propos du vieux tromblon ;

apt policy xserver-xorg-video-intel


Nous dira si le paquet est installé ; l'utilisation de ce pilote n'est plus recommandée mais 2007...

Bonjour, èfpé.

Je donne le retour de ces commandes. Là, l'ordi est en sauvegarde Clonezilla.

Le problème est simple : la résolution n'est pas correcte. Par exemple, sous double-commander, je dois y aller avec la souris pour agrandir la fenête, et non pas CTRL+ALT+x . On dirait que la cg n'est pas gérée...

Voilà ! CloneZilla a planté, et j'ai dû vérifier le disque. D'où mon retard à l'allumage.

le seul souci avec ta machine c'est le processeur dont tu dispose et la carte vidéo a améliorer (j'utilise une 1050 qui fonctionne très bien )
sinon avec stretch rien a faire (peut etre utiliser le firmware-misc-nonfree )  et voir si KMS fonctionne mieux que le paquet xserver-xorg-video-intel

j'ai du P5K-VM et du P5KC en Asus qui tourne sous stretch  (la P5K-VM a le meme chipset vidéo que le tien G31/33 ) idem pour MSI et Asrock ça peu tourner encore sans problème
juste voir si tu peu investir dans une carte vidéo (win10 tourne aussi sur ce genre de matériel )

rappel : jessie a un paquet xserver-xorg-video-modesetting , qui devient virtuel pour stretch

utiliser un noyau 4.9.0-3 avec jessie peut etre pas une bonne idée  (si ton profil est correct ....   )

un dual core a 2ghz c'est correct , donc précise le cpu qui est installé sur ta machine
avec stretch qui est la stable actuelle tu est tranquille pour un moment   roll

la P5K-VM  =>  https://www.asus.com/fr/Motherboards/P5KVM/

si vraiment c'est nécessaire je peu tester stretch sur la P5K-VM avec le chipset vidéo intégré , firefox-ESR va faire la grimace  tongue

Pardon : oui, effectivement, je suis sous Jessie. J'aurais dû le préciser.
J'ai débuté sous Stretch : l'enfer pour utiliser Samba ! C'était ingérable, pour les réseaux. Du coup, je suis passé à Jessie. Je n'aurais pas osé installer mon serveur Apache sous Stretch !

Je viens d'avoir le même problème avec le serveur !! Je l'ai déplacé de ma salle informatique dans mon bureau, sa place définitive.
Avec un autre écran, moins large. Résolution d'écran perdue !
Je lui remets l'écran avec lequel il a été installé : même merdier.
Je change le câble VGA : c'est réglé sur le serveur !

Je vais voir la résolution native de l'écran branché au vieil Optiplex. Ca vient peut-être tout simplement de là : sa résolution native !! J'ai déjà changé de câble VGA : pas d'amélioration.

Je saisis quelle commande, pour le savoir ?
Je vais vérifier avec xrandr : je donne le retour tout de suite.

ton 19 pouces est bien en  1440x900@60.0  (ce qui correspond a la définition native de mes 19 pouces plus tout jeune )

normalement une installation neuve avec ce matériel ne devrait pas poser de soucis

j' installe  jessie sur une P5K-VM qui se rapproche le plus de ta carte mère.
ça va prendre un peu de temps .......... roll  , un cpu dual core E6550 @2.33Ghz et 4Go de ddr2 a 667Mhz , un DD de 40Go
bureau Mate + lightdm

voila j'espère qui répond a ta question , sur une installation de jessie tu n'a besoin de rien de plus avec le gpu G33 (intel) du chipset de ta carte mère
avec stretch je pense que modesetting risque de mieux fonctionner , mais avec ce matériel (ancien) autant utiliser le paquet "intel"

je cherche a faire fonctionner cette carte PCI ASUS WIFI de 2004 qui ne fonctionne pas avec win10 (plus de driver)
a priori elle est reconnu par le noyau et prise en charge

j'ai fait quelques recherches sur ton chipset  Intel NM10/ICH7
une carte mère avec ce circuit  et un G31 pour la vidéo =>   https://www.asus.com/fr/Motherboards/P5KPLVM/
et pour ceci  =>  "kernel: [drm:i915_irq_handler] *ERROR* pipe A underrun"  sur un moteur de recherche donne beaucoup de résultats , meme pour du matériel intel plus récent .
pas trouvé de solution miracle , mais tu ne parle pas de ce souci.

Ma machine est stable et l'écran bien géré sous jessie .
ps: les deux chipsets ont tendance a chauffer (le bus monte jusqu'a 1333Mhz avec certain cpu , c'est limite de l'overclocking )   roll

un petit retour en arrière avec jessie  smile
