si quelqu'un a testé ce paquet , récent de avril 2017 sur testing/sid

a partir du noyau un switch par dbus d un gpu intégré a un gpu dédié

si ça fonctionne avec Wayland , ou (et) le serveur X avec une commande du genre
par exemple : si 0=intel et 1=nvidia

Le descriptif traduit

Pour les systèmes qui disposent à la fois d'un GPU intégré et d'un GPU dédié, cette fonction
par défaut forcera l'utilisation du GPU intégré pour économiser de l'énergie.

Vous pouvez lancer des applications individuelles à l'aide du GPU dédié en les exécutant.
avec la variable d'environnement DRI_PRIME=1. Ou vous pouvez cliquer avec le bouton droit de la souris sur l'icône
(tant qu'il n'est pas en cours d'exécution) dans l'aperçu des activités de GNOME Shell
et choisissez l'option "Lancement par carte graphique dédiée".

Si ce comportement par défaut n'est pas approprié, désinstallez ce paquet ou
xdg.force_integrated=0 comme option de ligne de commande du noyau dans votre fichier
bootloader.


C’est pour Gnome uniquement ?

4ème astuce du jour :

Pour ceux qui ont la technologie Optimus avec un Chipset Intel + une carte Nvidia, vous pouvez lancer une appli avec le GPU dédié (mais avec le pilote opensource xserver-xorg-video-nouveau) en faisant un clique droit "Lancer en utilisant le GPU dédié"...  sauf que ce n'est pas le cas par défaut !

Pour débloquer cette option, il faut installer le paquet "switcheroo-control"

Cela dit, le pilote proprio est plus performant pour la 3D !

Bonjour

je peu pas testé avec un PC de bureau , avec deux cartes graphiques ordinaires ce n'est pas l'équivalent d un portable gpu intel plus gpu 3D (nvidia ou amd ).
si un propriétaire de portable veut bien tester a la place de  "optimus" ou pour le duo intel + amd

pour 2019 on risque d'avoir de nouveaux gpu pour portable , intel , nvidia (RTX version portable ) et amd (pour l'instant en version bureau et pas encore en vente )
un autre souci pour installer debian sans écran noir .......
et la prise en charge par Buster pour les portables risque de ne pas durer longtemps , ça va trop vite .....    roll
nota: on parle déjà de mesa 19 pour les futurs noyaux => https://packages.debian.org/source/experimental/mesa

switcheroo existe depuis un certain temps et DRI_PRIME aussi ( =1 ou 0) avant fallait l'activer et depuis le noyau 4.1 ou 4.2, c'est activé par default sur les laptops ayant des gpus dit discret tput en ayant un gpu intégré.

switcheroo-control en revanche existait déjà depuis un moment sous fedora et a été ajouté a debian ubuntu et les distribs ayant gnome recemment.
En fait ce paquet permet, (pour le moment juste avec gnome) permet la gestion graphique de DRI_PRIME en faisant clic droit sur l'icone d'une appication, et faire "Lancer le programme avec le gpu dédié")

Testé sur fedora, ça fonctionne, testé aussi sur debian et ça fonctionne aussi smile

pour l acpi cette machine a toujours donné ces erreurs  tongue
je vois pas trop pourquoi que gnome (je suis sous Mate pour l'instant )
dbus fait parti du système mais bon on va étudier cela de prêt
déjà je peu dire uniquement en driver libre
donc actuellement j'ai l'écran sur intel actif , et l'écran sur nvidia éteint

par contre l'affichage ne reste que sur un écran , celui du gpu intel (le 0 ) , celui de la carte nvidia reste éteint.
il faut sûrement une machine portable avec une sortie commune pour les deux gpu.

ce que explique naguam en #4

la GTX1060 fonctionne bien avec nouveau a priori , mieux que lorsque j'ai testé il y a plus d un an

attention aux utilisateurs de gpu intel , il y a un bug sur le modeset du noyau de Buster pour ce gpu

ce matin j'ai voulu remettre ma machine avec Buster en état , pas d'affichage avec nouveau et la GTX1060 (l'écran est actif mais noir )
j'ai résolu le bug avec nomodeset au démarrage et installé le driver nonfree tout est rentré dans l'ordre.
pourtant il me semblait que nouveau fonctionnait correctement.
nota: le gpu intel est désactivé , le paquet pour le switch est désinstallé , pas de fichier xorg.conf dans /etc/X11
j'ai pas trop compris roll
