"hdc possibly failed opcode" sous tty en boucle

Bonjour ou re-bonjour,

Mon Debian, mon iBook G4 et moi ça roule....sauf que....
Quand je regarde ce qui se passe dans les consoles tty... elles affichent toutes en boucle ce message

hdc command error :  status = 0x51 ...
hdc command error : error = 0x50 ...
hdc possibly failed opcode : 0xa0

et alors là ça ne me parle pas du tout.... je n'ai a priori pas de problème majeur à l'utilisation de tout les jours... mais comme c'est une machine que je voudrais donner... j'aimerais bien qu'elle tourne nickel.

Tu pourrais montrer le contenu dans te fstab pour savoir à quoi corresponds hdc.
Habituellement c'est erreur qui arrive lorsqu’on lit un cd/dvd est que le lecteur ou le cd/dvd
commence à être usé.

et si je commente ou enleve la ligne /dev/hdc de mon fichier fstab… le lecteur Cd ne devrait plus marcher, mais cela n'est pas du tout grave et l'erreur devrait disparaitre ,non ?

Je ne sais pas si commenter la ligne dans le fstab va résoudre le problème.
Par contre, j'ai l'impression qu'un programme essaye d'accéder au cdrom alors
que justement il y en a pas dans le lecteur. Tu peux essayer de mettre un cdrom dans le
lecteur pour voir si l'erreur disparaît.

Dommage ! Une question tout de même : est-ce que qu'il est possible de monter et de lire un
cd/dvd ? Si ne n'est pas le cas, c'est que le lecteur est mort.

Il faudrait réussir à évaluer l'importance du problème et savoir s'il vient vraiment du lecteur ou plutôt du chipset IDE de la carte mère.

Et pour se faire, il serait intéressant de voir ce qui se passe lorsque tu débranche
le lecteur complétement, en retirant son alimentation par exemple. Un autre test : brancher un autre périphérique IDE à la place pour voir ce que raconte le noyau...

Quand je mets un Cd dans le lecteur, il ne le monte pas automatiquement... j'ai des repertoire /media/cdrom et /media/cdrom0, mais ils sont vident ??

euh, il faudrait peut être essayer de faire :

 mount -t udf,iso9660 -o ro /dev/hdc /media/cdrom


aussi serait-il possible de voir ce que raconte la commande :

 dmesg


juste après le boot (pour que ce ne soit pas trop volumineux)

Deux autres commandes à essayer avec un cd ou dvd dans le lecteur :

 /lib/udev/cdrom_id /dev/hdc


et

blkid -o udev -p /dev/hdc


J'aimerais savoir ce qu'elles racontent toutes les deux.

euh,  quand je te demandais le résultat de la commande dmesg après le boot , je voulais dire le résultat en entier. Ce qui m'intéresse c'est la phase de détection du matériel. Ce que tu m'as montré me dit simplement que le lecteur ne réponds pas.

Ensuite, je voulais voir le résultat de la commande

 blkid -o udev -p /dev/hdc


quand il y a un cd dans le lecteur et le résultat de la commande m'intéresse.

Sinon le meilleur test est encore de débrancher le lecteur, pour y brancher
un autre périphérique IDE (même un disque dur) pour voir si ça vient du contrôleur ide.

Mais bon, le résultat de la commande :

/lib/udev/cdrom_id /dev/hdc


et le fait qu'il ne réponde pas un mount me fait penser que c'est le lecteur qui est HS...

merci. Est il possible de le desactiver de façon logiciel afin de pas avoir le message d'erreur sans le démonter pour autant ?

Il me semble que oui, j'ai déjà vu un truc comme ça. Mais je me souviens plus du paramètres.
Surtout que depuis le temps il y a beaucoup de choses qui ont changées. Quand j'aurais un moment je chercherais...

Sinon as tu installé les paquetages firmware-linux-free et firmware-linux-nonfree, car le problème pourrait venir du fait que le périphérique a besoin d'un driver spécial (peu probable). C'est l'essai de la dernière chance.

Je pense avoir trouvé un truc dans la documentation du noyau. Voir les paramètres de boot : http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation … meters.txt et chercher
l'option ide-core.
Voir aussi http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/ide/ide.txt

Tu va créer le fichier /etc/modprobe.d/ide-core.conf. Ce fichier devra contenir :

options ide-core noprobe=1.0


Ensuite tu mets à jour l'init ramdisk :

update-initramfs -u


Puis tu reboot...
Sinon la meilleure solution serait de changer de lecteur/graveur de cd/dvd, si c'est possible...

Pas de chance... il faut peut être que tu creuses un peu, bon courage.
Sinon, ça doit être possible de désactiver le lecteur dans ce qui tiens lieu de bios...
mais bon, je ne connais pas les apples..

je n'ai pas d'autres solutions pour l'instant.
