@raleur : avec le 4.19 de DFLinux, les menus n'apparaissaient pas cf https://debian-facile.org/viewtopic.php?id=28332
La solution avait été de mettre le noyau backports, ça a fonctionné deux jours puis le 5.8 est arrivé et fait disparaître le clavier.

Après bien du temps, finalement l'ordi est stable ou presque avec une MX Linux AHS Noyau 5.6 et extinction OK.
En esprant qu'il ne se mettra pas à jour sur un noyau foireux !

Le ressenti est le même que sur ma buster (bon c'est du buster plus des raffinements si j'ai bien compris)

Alors...
Je n'ai pas de clavier externe.
MXLinux a été installé et grosse surprise : il tourne sans soucis avec le 4.19 sans le souci que j'avais eu avec DFLinux !!!
Comme cet Asus a décidé d'être contrariant, il ne s'éteint pas mais se met en veille... Donc on est peut-etre pas définitivement chez MXLinux

@raleur : l'installateur avait utilisé /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ au lieu de /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ parce que le second n'existait pas et que /etc/X11 ne contenait pas de .conf

Comment faire ?
L'installateur dit qu'il finit par se demander si il ne doit pas remplacer DFLinux par MXLinux sur cet Asus pour me simplifier la vie.

Il n'y a pas de mot de passe pour ma session graphique.

Depuis, le dernier post, mon installateur a trouvé une solution (pas top dit il) pour le problème qui manifestement affecte les Asus avec le noyau 5.8.
Il s'est inspiré de ce fil qui indique que le 5.8 se mélange les pattes sur les claviers Asus : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=257963

Il a fait un

sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf


Puis copié dedans ce qui est conseillé dans le fil (et selon le conseil de /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf)

Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Asus WMI hotkeys"
        MatchProduct "Asus WMI hotkeys"
        Option "Ignore" "on"
EndSection



Le clavier refonctionne avec le noyau 5.8

L'ennui, dit-il est que c'est un contournement et que quelques combinaisons de touches ne marcheront pas.

Y aurait-il mieux à faire ?

En console, j'arrive sur root@debian et le clavier fonctionne.

J'ai le choix entre noyau 5.7 et 5.8

Ajout : en voyant les options, je viens de tester le noyau 5.7 et le clavier refonctionne !

Que faire ?

Bonjour, ce matin, mauvaise surprise : l'Asus décrit ici https://debian-facile.org/viewtopic.php?id=28332 a son clavier qui ne répond plus du tout ! Hier je pouvais m'en servir.

Le clavier est fonctionnel dans le bios mais une fois démarré rien ne fonctionne, aucune touche !
Kernel 5.8
La souris est fonctionnelle.
J'ai réussi (avec un copié/collé du mot de passe) à réinstaller xorg via synaptic mais ça n'a rien changé !

Au secours ! smile

Ps : je peux donc coller des commandes depuis un fichier texte fait depuis mon autre ordi.

PS2, alors non, en fait : la touche Entrée ne fonctionne pas, donc je ne peux que recopier le mot de passe dans une fenêtre avec bouton "OK" hmm

Là, la totale a été faite !
Réinstallation de DFLinux sur /
Mise à niveau du noyau backports à 5.7 comme sur mon autre ordi.
Mise à niveau du Bios de A09 à A14 (parait-il urgence de sécurité)
Suppression de light-locker
Pas de Xscreensaver
Tous les réglages de gestion de consommation à "jamais"
On va voir si il récidive !

...Alors non ! Ce ne doit pas être xscreensaver : cet après-midi, l'ordi vient de me redemander un mot de passe pour l'extinction (il demande me mot de passe sur l'écran du portable pourtant censé être désactivé...)

Alors, j'ai rééssayé avec xscreensaver : mot de passe, puis en éradiquant xscreensaver : plus de demande.

L'ami qui m'avais installé cette Debian m'indique qu'il a aussi un écran externe et xscreensaver et pas le problème.

Différence : il utilise l'écran externe comme second écran, j'utilise le mien comme miroir, ou comme écran principal en désactivant celui du portable.

En soi le problème semble résolu, mais pas compris pourquoi xscreensaver perturbe.

Bonjour, en dehors du Asus que je tente d'installer sous Debian, j'ai un Dell Latitude que j'utilise sous Debian + Xce avec un écran externe, plus confort que le petit écran. Il a été installé par un ami.

Tout fonctionne, sauf.... qu'il me demande stupidement un mot de passe à l'extinction (sur le petit écran, bien sûr !)

J'ai l'impression que ce comportement suit une pise en veille (pourtant j'ai désactivé les mises en veille et supprimé light-locker

Comment me débarrasser de cette demande incongrue ?

J'ai donc installé suite au post de chalu. Hélas, c'est exactement la même chose.
C'est très curieux : si l'on ouvre une fenètre, pour voir son contenu il faut cliquer sur le bureau, puis si l'on sélectionne un fichier sur le fenêtre, il faut à nouveau cliquer sur le bureau.
Le menu apparaît en transparent, les icônes comme par exemple celle du réseau permettant d'activer le wifi sont... inactives.
Je peux accéder au tty, mais à ce stade ne peux sélectionner un point wifi.
Je dois pouvoir tenter ethernet

Pour les non-free, ça doit déjà être en place puisque j'utilise DLinux, mais ensuite ?
Autre solution : j'installe puis je tente la commande ?
Puis je la passer avec un simple sudo ?
Normalement je peux en Wii et via Ethernet
