Pas de son sur Thomson NEO14

Bonjour,

Histoire que les choses soient plus claires, je vais commencer par raconter ce qu'est mon Ultra Book et ce que je veux en faire. J'ai acheté d'occasion un Thomson NEO14- 2WH32 dans le but d'en faire une petite "machine à écrire", un truc tout simple quoi pour prendre des notes quand j'en ressent le besoin, voir pour consulter Internet si besoin et regarder une vidéo. Bref que des trucs de bases. Le PC ayant été livré avec un Windows 10 inclus, j'ai cependant préféré le remplacer par Linux. C'est plus léger, ça prend moins de ressource et puis c'est bien suffisant pour ce que je veux en faire.

Premier problème : bien que le processeur soit compatible 64 bits, l'UEFI (le remplaçant du Bios) est en 32 bits. Donc à priori, impossible d'installer un système d'exploitation en 64 bits. Pourquoi pas, ça ne me dérange pas plus que ça, même si je trouve ça idiot alors que le processeur semble en être capable. Non le vrai truc chiant c'est que la plupart des distributions Linux que j'ai essayé se sont révélés impossibles à installer... Les versions 32 bits ne boot pas et je reste bloqué à une invite de commande "grub>". Avec les version 64 bits, en y ajoutant un bootefi 32 bits (bootia32.efi), j'arrive à lancer la version "live", à lancer l'installation, mais celle-ci se plante à l'installation de grub (impossible de l'installer) et l'usage de boot-repair n'y change rien. Finalement j'ai finit par trouver une distribution de linux qui fonctionne : Debian 9.0 (téléchargé et installé via le tuto du site), avec une version "multiarch", qui n'existe à priori pas ailleurs (ou alors j'ai mal cherché). Mais bon ça marche, et c'est bien la le principal.

Le soucis, c'est que j'ai l'impression que mon matériel n'est pas bien détecté... En fait ce qui me dérange surtout c'est que je n'ai pas de son et à priori aucune carte son n'est détecté. Je me demande également si le chipset a bien été reconnu, mais cela ne semble pas nuire au fonctionnement du PC. Enfin, la puce Wifi ne semble également pas détecté.

Des problèmes que j'ai déjà eu en réinstallant Windows 10, pour vérifier que je le pouvais. Car celui-ci semblait bien incapable de tout détecter de lui même, et j'ai dû récupérer des pilotes chez Lenovo (car introuvable chez Thomson) pour obtenir quelque chose.

Concernant le PC, il est équipé d'un Intel Atom Z3735F (selon Windows), et il me semble que le reste est également du Intel.

Etant un petit débutant à Linux, j'avoue avoir un peu de mal à m'en sortir pour configurer mon matériel, donc un peu d'aide ne serait pas de refus.

Auparavant j'avais un autre PC Portable, un vieux ACER qui m'a lâché après dix ans de bon et loyaux services. Le truc rigolo c'est qu'à part le wifi, que j'étais parvenu à installer via un tuto mais que j'utilisais jamais finalement, je n'ai jamais eu de soucis de détection de matériel auparavant.

Dernière petite précision, selon le bios la puce audio est une Azalia HD (si ça peut aider), elle est activé et j'ai modifié son mode pour qu'elles soit reconnue comme un périphérique PCI (et non en ACPI, car j'étais pas sur qu'il soit détecté).

Voilà, je pense avoir fait le tour. En résumé j'aimerais surtout pouvoir installer la carte son, le reste semble fonctionner correctement et pour Internet au pire je peux utiliser mon smartphone en le branchant en USB et en partageant la connexion. Mais j'aimerais tout de même pouvoir profiter complètement du PC, juste au cas où.

En résumé tu as installé Debian 9 Stretch sur un portable Thomson NEO14-2WH32 et tu n'as ni son ni wifi. Les tutos dédiés (ici et ) n'ont rien apporté ? Dans ce cas les retours des commandes suivantes seront intéressants :

Concernant la version de Debian

Debian 9.0 "Stretch", installé via l'iso multiarch (sur clé Usb), avec bureau LXDE (le plus léger).

Concernant l'audio

Oui le tuto n'a absolument pas résolu le problème. Pire (et j'ai oublié de le préciser), Debian 9.0 ne semble pas intégrer alsa-base et je n'arrive pas à l'installer. Sans doute faut-il le faire à partir d'une autre source, mais ne voulant pas provoquer de problèmes, pour le moment je préfère rester prudent et peut-être que ce sera rajouter à la version stable de Debian 9 plus tard.

Concernant le wifi

La carte wifi n'est même pas détecté dès le départ. Mais comme je l'ai écrit auparavant, pour le moment ce n'est pas un drame, on peut mettre ça de côté et se concentrer sur l'audio (que j'aimerais au minimum avoir).

Précisions

Avant d'exécuter les différentes commandes, j'ai débranché mon smartphone, que j'utilise pour accéder à Internet et ainsi mettre à jour les paquets et en installer d'autres si besoin.

pour alsa-base voila ce qui est dit pour le paquet pour stretch


il s'agit d'un paquet fictif vide avec le seul but d'assurer
Les fichiers kmod obsolètes seront supprimés du système. Cette fonctionnalité
Est maintenant expédié en kmod.

Les retours des commandes lsmod et dmesg pourraient également être instructifs, même s'il ne s'agit que de documenter la machine, qui semble présenter de fortes similitudes avec l'Asus EeeBook X205TA (retour de lspci quasiment identique).

Note : il pourrait être pertinent de modifier le titre du fil en, par exemple, "Pas de son sur Remington No. 1 Thomson NEO14"

Ok, donc à priori c'est normal pour alsa-base, bien de ne pas m'amuser à aller le chercher ailleurs.

Le fait que la liste PCI soit "courte" ne me choque pas trop dans le sens où je pense que justement tout n'est pas reconnu par Debian (voir Linux en général).

Y a des résultats très long, mais je retiens ces deux commandes qui peuvent être utile.

En attendant je vais aller voir le lien pour l'Asus X205TA.
[Edit] En effet les deux ordinateurs semblent très proche. Toutefois la solution donné semble assez difficile à mettre en place. Mais c'est un début de réponse quoiqu'il en soit, merci.

du paquet lshw est une des commandes de listing du matériel des plus complètes, je te suggère de poster le retour (je sais une commande de plus) pour vraiment tout savoir sur ton matos, nous pourrons ensuite aviser smile

Tu n'as plus qu'à attendre quelques semaines/mois, à moins que naguam te propose de compiler ton kernel big_smile

edit: en clair, l'idée est de guetter l'arrivée d'un noyau 4.11+ dans le dépôt stretch-backports... de l'installer, ainsi que le paquet firmware-intel-sound (section non-free), redémarrer la machine... et envoyer la Symphonie nº 9 de Ludwig van ; à noter qu'il sera peut-être nécessaire de mettre à niveau le fichier /usr/share/alsa/ucm/chtrt5645/HiFi.conf depuis le dépôt Git de Pierre Bossart (alias plbossart) ;

tu peu tester debian Sid , le kernel est un 4.11.6 , pour le problème de son.
il est possible sur stretch d utiliser le noyau de sid pour test (le 4.9.0-3 et le 4.11 installé )
