[Résolu]comment gérer deux cartes intel+radeon

Bonjour smile

J'ai installé l'ISO DFiso sur un PC HP (voir le fil) qui a deux cartes graphiques : intel + amd.
J'ai installé chromium mais comme il n'y a plus moyen de se connecter au compte google et que c'est une demande des utilisateurs du PC, j'ai installé chrome. Que ce soit avec chromium ou avec chrome, le demarrage me semble long donc j'ai fait la commande dans un terminal et j'ai des messages d'erreur concernant la carte amd (radeon).

On voit que ds firmwares radeon et intel sont chargés.
Je vois des erreurs sur le bluetooth, si quelqu'un sait au passage le résoudre, je prends. Il me semblait que DFiso avait tous les firmwares inclus.

Comment faire pour gérer ces deux cartes sur Debian ? Ou comment faire "disparaitre" (sans ouvrir le PC) l'une des deux cartes pour qu'il n'y ait plus de souci (si c'est une bonne idée d'en faire disparaitre une)

Non ; mais là n'est pas le souci. Si ce firmware existait il serait fourni par le paquet firmware-realtek.
Le firmware rtl8723b_config.bin n'existe juste pas, en amont, la question est, le BT fonctionne-t-il ?

Dans un premier temps avec la variable d'environnement DRI_PRIME (pour faire la part des choses).

apt install switcheroo-control vainfo


switcherooctl list

DRI_PRIME=X vainfo


La commande switcherooctl va indiquer le GPU utilisé par défaut (Radeon semble-t-il) ; à confirmer :

lspci -nnkd ::0300

lspci -nnkd ::0380

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log


Le GPU Radeon (R600) semble plutôt mal pris en charge. Le BIOS/EFI te permet-il de le désactiver ?
edit: selon sa description, le paquet switcheroo-control force l'utilisation par défaut du GPU intégré.

J'ai trouvé ceci sur les cartes graphiques hybrides intel/radeon : https://wiki.debian.org/AtiHowTo#Hybrid_Graphics mais je ne sais pas quoi en faire.

Comme attendu le GPU Intel est le GPU utilisé par défaut. Et il l'était déjà lors du dernier démarrage.

Désolé chalu je n'ai pas été très explicite. Il faut remplacer X par un identifiant valide ; par exemple :

DRI_PRIME=1 vainfo


La sortie devrait au moins afficher l'erreur libva que tu as obtenue en « exécutant » google-chrome.

Note que déclarer la variable DRI_PRIME=0 ne sert à rien (puisque 0 désigne le GPU « par défaut »).

Pour le coup, ce n'était pas attendu... tu peux essayer avec une autre syntaxe, d'ailleurs suggérée :

DRI_PRIME=pci-0000_01_00_0 vainfo


edit: le "direct rendering" (DRI) étant désactivé pour le GPU AMD, cette commande n'a aucun sens.
On pourrait s'attendre à ce que cela affiche l'erreur libva, cette fois. Or peux-tu poster le retour de :

glxinfo -B

xrandr --listproviders


Quant à google-chrome, il fait son snob... Il ne daigne parler qu'à AMD (dri/r600, puis dri/radeonsi).

Est-ce que passer sur amdgpu à la place de radeon pour le kernel driver serait une "bonne" idée ? j'ai l'impression que c'est expérimental ?

Sinon comment sont construits ces machins à deux cartes ? La carte amd n'apparait pas dans le BIOS. Si j'ouvre le PC, il y aurait moyen de la "débrancher" à votre avis ?
Depuis que j'ai installé debian 12, il semble que ce soit la carte Intel qui soit utilisée et ça marche bien.

Les machins n'étant pas associés cela ne risque pas de fonctionner. Noter qu'il est inutile de tenter :

xrandr --setprovideroffloadsink 1 0


En effet cela doit générer un message d'erreur car le provider n'a pas la capability "Source Offload".
Le "rendu direct" (DRI) est désactivé pour le GPU AMD donc pas de "DRI Offloading" via DRI_PRIME.

Et selon ce que j'ai lu ça peut être pire. Cette génération de GPU est contemporaine de la transition.

Mes recherches montrent aussi que les problèmes persistent ou augmentent en passant au driver amdgpu.
J'ai trouvé des fils indiquant de blacklister le module et/ou le driver radeon.
Edit : j'ai trouvé un fil du forum indiquant la suppression "logicielle" de la seconde carte : https://debian-facile.org/viewtopic.php?id=15689
J'ai suivi les manips, la dernière ne fonctionne pas mais un nouvel lspci ne montre plus de carte amd.

Maintenant, je teste si au redémarrage la carte AMD est toujours désactivée, mais j'ai un doute.

Finalement, très mauvaise idée, ça bugge à l'arrêt du PC. J'ai fait un appui long sur le bouton pour l'arrêter sad
Au redemarrage, je retrouve la carte AMD. Ce n'est pas la bonne façon de la désactiver de manière logicielle si c'est possible ...

Vu les messages d’erreurs, les échanges avec èfpé et les fils trouvés dans mes recherches, elle ne semble pas bien prise en charge. En plus la carte Intel semble tout à fait convenir pour l’usage des utilisateurs du PC. Je souhaite donc maintenant la désactiver pour faire disparaître les erreurs vues dans dmseg au démarrage,
Et je pense aussi réduire la consommation, éviter qu’elle ne chauffe pour rien ?
Le fil ci-dessus m’a fait penser qu’on pouvait la désactiver en ligne de commande mais ça n’a pas marché.
