sudo -s ou -i pour passer root.
Ensuite passwd pour définir un mot de passe root.
A quel répertoire veux-tu accéder ? Il suffit de taper le chemin, /var/log/ est accessible à tous et les fichiers Xorg* sont lisibles donc copiables par tous.

Il vaut mieux montrer que raconter.

Bonjour

J'ai commencé à faire comme expliqué :

récupération de la console quand j'arrive sur la petite fenêtre de connexion
j'ai trouvé le fichier Xorg.0.log que j'ai copié sur le profil de "diane"
commande cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log   /home/diane/

je n'ai pas eu de message d'erreur donc je suppose que ça a été copié

ensuite, j'ai retrouvé par Alt + f7 la petite fenêtre de connexion.

je me suis connecté sur le profil de "diane"
mais là, contrairement à ce que j'avais déjà fait, impossible, par ctrl+alt+f7 d'avoir la console

j'ai donc éteint le pc et recommencé sans passer par la 1ère étape et en me connectant directement sur le profil de "diane"
même soucis, je n'arrive plus à avoir la main à partir de cet écran illisible, même avec les touches ctrl alt f7.

J'attends encore jusqu'à lundi pour avoir vos commentaires mais ensuite, je crois que je vais abandonner et mettre la version Linux DF10 (buster) i386. En effet, je pense que vous avez d'autres chats à fouetter et d'autres problèmes plus importants à régler que le mien qui n'est pas vital ni urgent.

En tous cas, je vous remercie beaucoup pour tout ce que vous avez fait.

Mais pour résumer, je patiente jusqu'à lundi pour effectuer de nouveaux tests si vous le jugez jouable pour trouver une solution.

Normal, c'est Ctrl+Alt+F3. Tu es déjà sur la console n° 7.
Si c'est une faute de frappe dans le forum et tu as bien appuyé sur Ctrl+Alt+F3 mais que ça bloque aussi, récupère le fichier Xorg.0.log.old.

Décidément, ce n'est pas demain que je vais pouvoir passer mon examen Linux niveau 0 !!!!!

Donc, j'ai bien réussi ce que vous m'avez demandé, à savoir
récupérer les fichiers Xorg.log et ..old

Par contre, quand je redémarre le pc en mode live option sans échec, j'ai un profil "humain" qui se créé automatiquement et je ne vois pas les répertoires concernant l'utilisateur diane
de plus, il semblerait qu'il n'y a aucun fichier Xorg.* dans cet environnement?

Depuis le système live, il faut monter la partition racine (ou home si séparée) du système installé pour accéder aux fichiers de celui-ci.
Ou bien démarrer le système installé avec le paramètre "nomodeset" dans GRUB comme déjà vu précédemment (messages #23 page 1, #26 et #27 page 2).

PS : le fichier Xorg.log généré en mode sans échec ou avec nomodeset n'a aucun intérêt.

re bonjour

J'ai indiqué nomodeset lors du démarrage de la version standard installée sur le pc :
J'ai l'impression d'avoir des soucis pour me connecter à internet, j'ai donc mis les fichiers log sur une clé et je vous écris de mon autre pc :
j'ai 3 fichiers Xorg.log
le 1er c'est celui que j'ai récupéré la 1ère fois, quand j'ai démarré et que j'ai stoppé le démarrage à la fenêtre de connexion utilisateur.
les 2 autres je les ai récupérés après m'être connecté avec l'utilisateur "diane".
il y a Xorg.0.log  et un Xorg.0.log.old

s'agissant de fichiers assez volumineux, qu'est ce que je dois faire, vous adresser l'intégralité ou juste une partie qui vous intéresse et de quels fichiers parmi les 3?

une ou deux fois vers la la fin des deux derniers. Je ne sais qu'en penser, la fréquence verticale 0.0 (au lieu de 60) accolée à la résolution est erronée mais les paramètres de balayage dont elle résulte in fine sont identiques à ceux des lignes "modeline" précédentes donc a priori corrects.

Ce que je propose, sans garantie, est de faire varier certaines options du pilote radeon, voire changer de pilote, via un fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Désactiver l'accélération matérielle :

j'y accède comme pour le nomodeset dans GRUB ?
désactiver l'accélération matérielle
passer en EXA et DRI2
utiliser le pilote générique...

Comme j'ai écrit, mettre le bloc de configuration dans un fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Par exemple en console root avec un éditeur de texte comme nano.

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf


ctrl+o pour enregistrer, ctrl+x pour quitter

Tu peux aussi préparer le fichier xorg.conf dans ton home avec un éditeur de texte graphique (mousepad) et le copier en root dans /etc/X11.

Cela m'a permis également de bien progresser dans la manipulation des commandes Linux

Il me reste juste à voir le petit message d'anomalies affiché à la fin de la connexion :

Lesquelles en particulier ? Si c'est avec "Accel" "off", c'est un peu dommage (mais c'est toujours mieux que nomodeset), il y peut-être plus fin.

Concernant les messages de dpkg, yaka suivre les suggestions contenues et voir ce que ça donne.

l'écran est clair et lisible avec une bonne résolution
Internet en wifi fonctionne (je pense que c'était le câble rj45 qui était mal enclenché tout à l'heure)
Je n'ai plus de message d'erreur à la fin du processus de connexion.

Dernière petite question :
Lors des nouvelles versions Linux DF 11 qui vont s'installer à l'avenir, ces paramétrages ne seront pas touchés?

Tu n'as pas précisé quelle option dans xorg.conf avait résolu le problème d'affichage, dommage.

en fait je ne sais pas quel option a résolu le problème.
1 j'ai créé le fichier xorg.conf :
2 ensuite j'ai éteint le pc puis rallumé normalement. J'ai eu un message d'avertissement quand la connexion était terminé et que le bureau était affiché
3 j'ai lancé de la console les commandes pour actualiser les paquets en question dpkg......
4 j'ai éteint à nouveau le pc puis je l'ai rallumé normalement et le message n'est pas réapparu.

Ah... Je n'ai pas dû être assez clair, il aurait fallu tester avec chaque configuration une par une, pas toutes à la fois. Là je ne sais même pas ce qui est appliqué s'il y a plusieurs sections pour le même device.

Il vaut mieux montrer que raconter.

ah bon, je ne promets pas pour ce soir, mais je vais en laisser une seule et mettre les 2 autres en "commentaire"
et je recommencerai pour chaque config
je vais noter chaque changement et je reviens ensuite pour commenter les résultats

Donc sans accélération matérielle, dommage. Ça ne doit pas trop affecter l'affichage du bureau, mais il faudrait vérifier la 3D et la vidéo (si utilisées).
Il reste aussi d'autres options du pilote radeon à essayer (ColorTiling, ColorTiling2D, EnablePageFlip, DRI2+glamor, DRI3+EXA...) si tu as le temps et la patience.

Il vaut mieux montrer que raconter.
