L'accélération graphique Nvidia ne fonctionne pas sur les vidéos

Bonjour
De retour sous Debian, installé aujourd'hui, après quelques années sous d'autres distrib.
J'ai l'impression que l'accélération graphique ne fonctionne pas car je vois que l'usage du CPU monte à 50% avec une video 1080p en x264, ça ne devrait pas être le cas même avec cette carte graphique qui est une antiquité. J'ai installé le pilote nvidia legacy 340 en ayant suivi la doc et utilisé nvidia-detect au préalable.
Que ce soit avec VLC ou MPV c'est le même problème.
VLC est bien configuré sur sortie vdpau, et dans le mpv.conf figure cette ligne :

hwdec=vdpau

Quand je lance mpv dans le terminal j'ai une erreur qui s'affiche :

tu a le même souci en driver libre et avec le driver nvidia ? (ta carte fonctionne peut être mal avec "nouveau" )
tu a une commande pour vdpau

nota: moi sur APU AMD avec bullseye (testing)

si cela peut t' aider (il y a peut être des soucis aussi avec le driver 340 et buster )

Je n'y comprends plus rien, car maintenant ça fonctionne alors que je n'ai fait aucune modification !
mpv dans le terminal ne m'indique plus de message d'erreur mais ceci : Using hardware decoding (vdpau) et le processeur est peu utilisé.

Je ne sais pas je n'ai pas essayé nouveau, et je ne sais pas comment le remettre.
De toute façon j'installe systématiquement le pilote nvidia propriétaire car j'ai de meilleures performances avec.
