Projet de script : réparation de clés USB

Yop,
encore un besoin impulsé... Par ma maman qui arrête pas de corrompre ses clés USB. J'aimerai proposer un menu :
1) Qui liste les périphériques USB branchés
2) Pour ensuite proposer de "les fsck" & 'il voit qu'il n'y arrive pas parce que erreurs complexes, propose de reformater
*) Et quand ça marche toujours pas, tenter des trucs aliens connu de quelques personnes (des fois que tongue ?)

Du coup de ce que je vois, mon seul problème pour commencer, c'est d'être capable de distinguer une clé USB d'un autre périphérique de stockage. Vous avez une idée ?

Ah, bonjour Otyugh ! smile

Justement je n'arrêtais pas de corrompre mes clés USB formatées en FAT32 ou en HFS+. J'avais même une clé à 3 partitions une partie formatée FAT32, une autre en HFS+ et la dernière partition en ext4, cette clé était la championne du monde de la corruption sur ses partitions FAT32 et HFS+.

Je n'arrêtais pas de réparer avec fsck.



Sur une remarque très positive de vv222 sur le format de fichier UDF, j'ai essayé celui-ci : résultat : plus aucune corruption.

J'ai formaté toutes mes clés en UDF et depuis aucun problème.

Après avoir cherché un peu je n'ai pas trouvé de remède miracle autre que de:
1) lister les disques avant branchement de la clé usb (lsusb ou ls -l /dev/disk/by-id/, blkid, etc ...)
2) lister les disques après
3) comparer les deux listes pour connaitre l'id de la clé

Dans le même esprit il y a aussi dmesg qui scrute l'entrée du nouvel arrivant.

Dans les deux cas ça sous-entend qu'il faut lancer le script avant de brancher la clé.

De plus les systèmes BSD semblent être mis de côté, dommage mais merci pour l'astuce assez originale.

En fait, j'étais parti vers la solution système de fichiers UDF pour l'interopérabilité, ce n'est qu'à l'usage que je me suis aperçu que ce système de fichiers est très robuste.

Il ne faut pas partir battu dès le départ. C'est vrai qu'on peut lire tout et son contraire parce que c'est nettement plus complexe que ce que je croyais au départ et qu'une analyse simpliste peut en dire, entre les versions d'UDF, les différents systèmes et leurs différentes versions, 32 bits ou 64 bits, support formaté en entier ou support formaté avec une ou plusieurs partitions, MBR ou GPT ou rien, il faut s'accrocher, car cela en vaut la peine.


C'est pourquoi, malgré que les documentations qui écrivaient que la compatibilité entre Windows et Linux pour un support de stockage formaté UDF est totale bien avant Windows 10, j'ai préféré quand même tester celle entre W10 et Linux Debian 11 et le résultat est positif.

Je n'ai pas encore expliqué la solution de la compatibilité totale d'un support de stockage entre Mac Os X - Linux - Windows, car déjà j'aimerais que des personnes comme toi zaphir ou bien Otyugh fassent des remarques ou testent déjà les parties du tuto que j'ai écrit.

En effet, il existe une méthode très astucieuse qui permet formater de telle manière de telle sorte qu'un support de stockage soit vu simultanément comme formaté sur l'ensemble du support ( compatibilité Mac OS X ) et aussi comme formaté avec table de partition ( compatibilité Windows ).

Un de mes problèmes, c'est que je me suis paupérisé ces dernières décennies et je ne connais plus de personnes ayant un système Mac pour tester, en fait si, j'en connais encore une et elle est membre du forum ! Pour tester avec les BSD, zaphir, si tu es volontaire n'hésite pas ...

La sortie dmesg est imbuvable, elle dure des km, pour viser la clé cest pas la bonne commande

Tu peux nous dire par quel canal de commercialisation as-tu acheté cette clé USB parce qu'elle est à jeter :

1/ fdisk n'en tire rien
2/ l'identifiant du fabricant ( idVendor) ne correspond pas un fabricant : idVendor=2269 n'existe pas dans la base de donnée http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids
Un Control F avec 2269 ne donne rien.

Conclusion : c'est une clé contrefaite.


Si tout le monde pense pareil, c'est qu'aucune personne ne pense beaucoup.

Du coup de ce que je vois, mon seul problème pour commencer, c'est d'être capable de distinguer une clé USB d'un autre périphérique de stockage. Vous avez une idée ?



usb-devices ? c'est un script déjà dans la debian...

usb-devices - Afficher les détails d'un périphérique USB
Contrairement au fichier I<usb/devices>, ce script ne liste que les "

A fonctionné quelques années.

Par quel canal de commercialisation te l'es tu procuré ?


C'était de l'occasion à des prix très bas. Mais je doute que ce soit la clé elle-même : ma mère casse énormement de clé USB quand les miennes (on utilise les même) semblent immortelles x)

Cela peut-être l'oeuvre d'une clé retirée en cours de fonctionnement, selon la clé ou le pc/laptop une copie peut durer très longtemps parfois.
Dans ce cas la clé est quasiment morte ou bien très endommagée, une fois c'est une fois de trop.
J'ai rencontré ce genre de problème avant mais plus depuis que je fais un 'sync' en root avant de débrancher la clé.
Il ne faut pas se fier à ce qui est affiché par le gestionnaire de copie, c'est trompeur, même s'il indique le job terminé, en tâche de fond la copie s'effectue toujours, peut-être que ta mère a été trompé par l'un de ces outils.

Yep, pas faute de lui avoir dit qu'il faut ejecter ou démonter jusqu'au bout avant de retirer le bidule. C'est pour ça que c'était pas mal les clés avec une p'tite lumière quand ça i/o.

Après, j'ai jamais rien pu lire de fiable sur le fait que retirer une clé en cour d'écriture diminuait le temps de vie - je pensais que c'était une idée reçue des gens qui ne savent pas reformater leurs clés.
Pour ma mère je suspect beaucoup plus des... Coups de pieds dans sa tour avec la clé branchée.
