Bonjour.

Depuis 2, 3 jours, ma station sous Sid est victime de reboot intempestif, et j'avoue ne pas comprendre la raison. Elle ne chauffe pas ; ça se fait sans "crier gare".

Oui cette machine est un portable très récent. Début d'année.
- Avec Nvidia Optimus et l'AGPU du Ryzen (AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX with Radeon Graphics)
(donc les spécifications que tu remarques sont tout à fait normales ; oui, c'est une "petite bête de course")

Je vais tenter ta suggestion de tourner sur le kernel inférieur

PS : Ce qui est troublant, c'est que je fais des sessions de jeux (sous Windows) sans aucun soucis !!!
PS 2 : Ces redémarrages sont totalement aléatoires, sans aucun préavis, sans même période de temps. ?!?

je pense que le kernel de sid (actuellement sur trixie) n'est pas la cause .
pour la température , impossible de mettre a mal le cpu , amd a fait ce qu'il faut en interne dans le cpu pour corriger tension et fréquence en cas de surchauffe .
peut être voir du coté du gpu nvidia ?
si windows 11 tourne bien , pas de souci matériel comme la mémoire ou autre
ps: en plus un redémarrage et pas un arrêt de la machine.

dmesg | grep -i iommu

 

celui la renvoie beaucoup de ligne ......

regarde si tu a ce paquet

apt policy acpid acpi

 

nota : faire des recherches dans le syslog et le log de X (cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
voir les paquets modifier depuis que cela bug , mais bon pas évident ce genre de panne

Bon, concernant Prime pour Nvidia, sous Debian, de ce que je sais - à moins que je ne me trompe - mais ce n'est toujours pas fonctionnel.
(Sous Ubuntu, c'est le cas… mais sincèrement je m'en fiche ; ça fonctionne avec Steam sous Debian, et les options nécessaires pour activer la prise en charge matériel du GPU Nvidia sans soucis.)

Je me demande si la série des noyaux 6.10 n'aurait pas un soucis. Dans la journée, lors de l'upgrade, le nouveau noyau 6.10.4 est installé et clairement inutilisable :

J'ai le droit après le démarrage à une série de messages d'erreur venant soit disant de mdadm, alors que j'ai principalement brtfs comme FS, pour finir sur un prompt initramfs en ash où le clavier est inopérant.
Redémarrage sur le précédent 6.10.3 pour avoir une station quasi fonctionnelle.
Humm, entre les deux, je ne sais trop quoi en penser, mais je note une suite de dysfonctionnement étrange entre l'un et l'autre de ces deux noyaux ; est-ce lié ? (ou pas) Quid ?

Donc, faut maintenant que je dise à grub de ne pas démarrer sur le 6.10.4, du moins momentanément.

j'ai aussi des soucis avec le noyau 6.10.3 et 6.10.4.
je ne boote même pas ... et je n'ai pas fait de bétises comme cela à pu arriver par le passé

juste un apt update et apt upgrade.
obligé de démarrer sur le 6.9.10.

pour information j'ai 3 machines en trixie avec les noyaux 6.10.3 et 6.10.4 sans problème
en ext4 , bureau mate
un vieux intel 7700 , un amd en am4 (ancien) et un threadripper première génération ( 32 threads ).
ps: par exemple le paquet fluidsynth a un souci sur sid (je l'utilise avec lutris (jeux) sur le threadripper )
ma version sur trixie

(c'est franchement bizarre que le système ne m'est rien ressorti avec le noyau 6.10.3)

Concernant le "Secure boot", je l'ai en effet désactivé, en ayant acquis ce laptop ; je suis informé des soucis posés avec le driver nvidia propriétaire.

ps: sur ce beau portable , passer en trixie (testing) , cela ne t'intéresse pas ? (avec apt-listbugs installé) et prudence sur les mises a jours.
et pas de précipitation sur les mises a jours , souvent le problème est résolu avec un peux de patience

nota: le lien ci dessus le responsable "kmod" (il semble) mais toi , le souci différent (reboot intempestif)

Merci pour ton retour ; je viens de lire l'URL sur le forum que tu me transmets ; c'est très similaire à mes soucis.

Je suis entrain de faire un upgrade et je vois passer le noyau 6.10.6, en effet !
(en non, je ne basculerais pas sur Testing ; cela fait des années que je fonctionne sur Sid, avec différentes moutures de Debian, dont la Xebian, justement - et les problèmes sur Sid sont très rares, mais ça peut arriver, la preuve de ces deux noyaux).

Donc, bascule effective sur le 6.10.6 ( et j'ai gardé au cas où le 6.9.12 ), on verra bien si ces reboots intempestifs se reproduisent à nouveau
(bien sûr, j'ai supprimé les deux précédents 6.10.x)

le noyau 6.9.12 est EOL (end of life = fin de vie) , il va disparaître , donc pas d'autoremove pour l'instant

pour testing je connais la réponse avant de poser la question

en espérant que cela résout ton souci

A propos de kmod, j'ai fait une mise à jour complète de mon système aujourd'hui et maintenant tout va bien. Kernel 6.10.6 et tout.

Ce n’est ni kmod ni le noyau qui avaient un problème, mais dracut-install.
Si la version 103-1.1 est installée, tout va bien.

Est-ce que le nvme - un Samsung 970 acheté en novembre 2013 - utilisé pourrait expliquer ces reboots ?
(saut que là encore jamais eu de soucis avec les 6.9.x)

tu a toujours des reboot ? (avec les mises a jours de sid ? )
ps: non je pense pas que un rapport avec le Samsung 970 (tu aurais des traces).

Je me suis pris un en effet en début d'après-midi. Pour tout te dire, j'ai même réinstallé ma Xebian, impossible de démarrer sur le nvme ; il n'était plus vu, et ce sur 2 stations différentes (ce laptop et une tour).
D'ailleurs la Xebian disponible actuellement est basé sur le noyau 6.10.4 fonctionnel !!!
Mais je me suis pris quand même un reboot intempestif (donc j'ai aussi réinstallé le 6.9.12 bien qu'il soit EOL).
Bref, j'avoue que je suis dans l'incompréhension du problème.

je sais pas quoi te dire , je n'ai pas de problème avec la série 6.10.x (mais avec un gpu amd) sur des ordis de bureau
j'ai un nvme samsung sur une tour (threadripper)
pour le 6.10.6 , j'attends qu'il soit valider et descende sur trixie (testing)

ton nvme est vu dans le bios / UEFI ?
