Bonjour
avec debian 10 amd64 XFCE lightdm, fraichement installés
si je modifie la configuration de lightdm comme indiqué ici

Mais lorsque je relance la machine je n'ai qu'un écran noir
ctrl+alt+f1 me permet dêtre en console

Peut-on m'expliquer ce qui se passe
a noter que dans le fichier de config la partir Seat : default est en réalité indiqué Seat : *

Par ailleurs je trouve que sous certains comptes xfce est très long à se lancer (si cela a un lien)

Quels sont les fichiers que tu as modifié, peux-tu nous les retranscrire ici?
par ex :

cat /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

et les autres...

lightdm est il bien activé?
edit :

/etc/init.d/lightdm status

c'est lightdm et pas sddm, mauvais copié collé, désolé.

Je commence par la deuxième question
réponse de /etc/init.d/sddm status en user
aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type
mais il y a un lightdm
/etc/init.d/lightdm status
active et running
Donc cela quand je n'ai pas la connexion automatique

Avec la connexion automatique (donc 2 lignes décommentée dans /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
/etc/init.d/lightdm status
répond
active et running

j'ai essayé également avec slim
meme effet
je n'ai pas trouvé comment faire avec gdm3 pour une connexion automatique en console, les réponses que j'ai trouvé sont toutes en graphiques à priori avec gnome et je ne trouve pas comment faire sous xfce.
Mais si le problème graphique est le meme avec plusieurs gestionnaires de connexion, c'est peut etre ailleurs qu'il faut chercher.

@phil45190 : j'ai corrigé tes messages pour y ajouter des balises codes avec les boutons des commandes. Ce serait bien que tu le fasses toi-même la prochaine fois
