Chipset sTRX40

Bonjour,

Proc : AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X
CM : Gigabyte TRX40 AORUS PRO WIFI
CG : Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING OC 3X
DD : Samsung Serie 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 500 Go

Sur le site d'Aorus il est noté ceci : Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.

A bientôt.

Re : Chipset sTRX40

https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/h … -usb-audio
https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=307939
Problem with Realtek USB Audio on Gigabyte TRX40 Aorus pro wifi :
https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-usb/msg189347.html

Re : Chipset sTRX40

Re : Chipset sTRX40

Thanks.  This looks like the same issue as reported by others.
  https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206543

Could you try two patches found in the bugzilla above?

thanks,

Takashi

Re : Chipset sTRX40

Super,

Cela progresse.

wget https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/linux-5.6.3.tar.xz
tar Jxvf linux-5.6.3.tar.xz
cd linux-5.6.3/

patch -p1 < 0002-ALSA-hda-Add-driver-blacklist.patch
cd ..
ln -s linux-5.6.3/ linux
cd linux/
make oldconfig

make -j49 deb-pkg LOCALVERSION=-vanilla KDEB_PKGVERSION="$(make kernelversion)-1"

total 53684
drwxr-xr-x 2 laurent laurent     4096 avril  8 14:00 .
drwxr-xr-x 8 laurent laurent     4096 avril  8 14:00 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 laurent laurent  7628640 avril  8 13:56 linux-headers-5.6.3-vanilla_5.6.3-1_amd64.deb
-rw-r--r-- 1 laurent laurent 46247176 avril  8 13:56 linux-image-5.6.3-vanilla_5.6.3-1_amd64.deb
-rw-r--r-- 1 laurent laurent  1082192 avril  8 13:56 linux-libc-dev_5.6.3-1_amd64.deb

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206873

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206873#c52

At best, pull for-linus branch of my sound.git tree onto your 5.6 git tree.  Otherwise you might have missed some other bits.

  % cd linux-5.6.0-git
  % git checkout -b usb-audio-devel
  % git pull git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git for-linus

Then apply the patch#5 on its top.

So, please keep the code up-to-date.  Otherwise we'll waste too long hours.

Re : Chipset sTRX40

Salut Lindebian,

git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git
ln -s linux-stable linux
cd linux
git pull --tags origin
git checkout v5.6.4
git checkout -b usb-audio-devel
git pull git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git for-linus
patch -p1 < alc1220-vb-mobo.diff
make oldconfig
make -j49 deb-pkg LOCALVERSION=-vanilla KDEB_PKGVERSION="$(make kernelversion)-1"

Plus qu'a installer les debs. ;-)

Salut Scorpio,
