je crée ce post afin de synthétiser nos efforts sur la carte video RX 550

j'applaudis des deux mains les travaux très soutenus de anonyme

qui m'a beaucoup aidé sur le sujet .

franchement , je l'admire .

donc que tous les contributeurs n'hésitent pas à participer à l'installation de  cette jolie petite carte sous debian .

personnellement , je comprends pas :

sous w$ , cette carte est parfaite .

sous Lx , c'est l'horreur .

très belle résolution et très belles couleurs , mais , pas de fluidité et pas de  synchro .

il faut  donc installer les pilotes AMD . seulement voilà :

les pilotes ne sont pas prêts .

il faut donc bidouiller .

je le répète : j'admire beaucoup les travaux de anonyme en la matière .

Strech ne prend en charge le serie de cartes RXxx Amd/Ati (RX550 , 560 , 570 , 580 ) fonctionne en mode Vesa uniquement et 2D

A ce jour il faut :
Mesa 17  présent sur Sid
un noyau 4.11  présent sur Sid
Modifié le firmware-amd-graphics de Stretch pour intégrer la prise en charge des cartes Polaris12


  * amdgpu/polaris12_ce.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_mc.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_me.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_mec.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_mec2.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_pfp.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_rlc.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_sdma.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_sdma1.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_smc.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_uvd.bin
  * amdgpu/polaris12_vce.bin
 



1 - Testé en Sid , la modification sur Stretch n'est pas sans risques (beaucoup de dépendances sur Sid surtout pour Mesa17 )
2 - Attendre que les paquets soit confirmé et passe sur Buster (testing)
3 - Pour les moins pressés attendre que les paquets soit disponible sur les backports de stretch

nota : seul (sauf erreur ou oubli ) Ubuntu et ArchLinux  ont un firmware compatible avec ces cartes (pour l'instant )

Plus sérieusement, le titre tout en majuscules donne un côté agressif à cette discussion quand on la voit dans la liste des messages récents, ça ne donne pas envie de venir donner un coup de main…
Je crois que tu peux le modifier en éditant ton premier message.

Cette bibliothèque implémente l'interface en espace utilisateur aux
 services DRM du noyau. DRM signifie « Direct Rendering Manager »
(gestionnaire de rendu direct), qui est la partie en espace noyau du
« Direct Rendering Infrastructure » (DRI, infrastructure de rendu direct).
Le DRI est actuellement utilisé sous Linux pour fournir les pilotes OpenGL
bénéficiant de l'accélération matérielle.

pour Mesa faudra patienter un peu (c'est un gros morceau tongue  )


Statut de migration: BLOQUÉ: peut-être temporaire, peut-être bloqué mais Britney manque d'informations (cochez ci-dessous ou les builds)
Trop jeune, seulement 4 jours sur 5

après avoir installé mesa 17 sur ubuntu , j'ai installé polaris 12 conformément au lien suivant :
https://packages.ubuntu.com/zesty/linux-firmware

il me manque le bon amdgpu et c'est terminé pour  ubuntu .
mais aux dernières nouvelles amdgpu ne supporte pas  encore polaris 12

un petit résumé pour cette carte AMD/ATI SAPPHIRE RADEON RX550 4GDDR5

- sous stretch (debian 9) : c'est la galère (obligé de jouer avec les kernels , les firmwares et les amdgpu)

- sous ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (kernel 4.8) : c'est la galère aussi

- sous windows 10  avec le bon pilote : c'est ok

- sous ubuntu 17.04 (le dernier  donc avec le kernel 4.10) : c'est ok par défaut : rien à faire .

c'est bien ta carte est mieux pris en charge par Ubuntu 17.xxx
aujourd'hui Sid passe a Mesa 17.1.4 en mise a jour
pour la carte tout n'est pas parfait , la serie n'est pas bien reconnu (RX550 )  mais le fonctionnement doit etre correct .

pour le driver tu utilise "amdgpu" , donc ne cherche pas ta carte dans "radeon" , elle n'existe pas  smile
ce qui n'est pas utilisé

dans /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu   rien trouvé
dans la description du paquet sur synaptic

je viens d'essayer une mise à jour de mesa 13 vers mesa 17 , voilà ce que j'obtiens :

non ne lance rien  tongue
pas une bonne idée de mettre Mesa17 sur debian stable
de plus la bonne version est sur sid maintenant , et ils sont en train de faire le point sur les bugs , pas encore pret a etre injecté sur Buster (testing)
j'ai mit le lien comme quoi mesa 17 est en status bloqué pour l instant (les utilisateurs de sid peuvent l utiliser sans souci )

de plus mesa17 a du etre enlevé de  expérimental  wink  donc normal que ta commande ne fonctionne plus .  tongue  cool

"linux headers amd64" et "linux image amd64"   sont dans sid sous le numéro 4.11+82 pour le noyau 4.11 , juste a descendre maintenant dans Buster  => https://packages.debian.org/fr/sid/linux-headers-amd64

quelqu'un peu donner le lien pour une installation facile du dernier Arch Linux  (version béta ) pour  Debian Alain . (tester sa carte rx550)
j'ai testé mais pas gardé le lien , et je m' en souvient plus . (et mon disque a été effacé pour testé stretch mate avec bureau vide sous intel skylake et kabylake )

j'ai essayé
- arch linux
- morpheus
- architect
- arch anywhere

je n'arrive pas à en faire fonctionner une seule . toutes plantent pendant le démarrage .

au moment d'utiliser la  carte graphique je pense

j'ai aussi essayé manjaro gnome  / xfce :

s' installent  mais ne démarrent pas quoique gub ok

j'ai déjà essayer archlinux et arch anywhere  et manjaro sont dans virtualbox

mais archlinux sont trop compliqué une commande un shell pour l'avant d'installation sad

il me semble que le noyau 4.11 est dans les backports de Stretch.  => https://packages.qa.debian.org/l/linux.html
=> "stable-bpo    save    4.11.6-1~bpo9+1 "
tu peu tester avec la commande en simulation


apt-get -s install -t stretch-backports linux-image-amd64 linux-headers-amd64
