Impossible de booter sur Debian

Hello !

Il m'arrive un truc curieux : j'installe Debian + Xfce sur l'ordi d''une cousine qui était sous W10, totalement vérolé et d'une lenteur inimaginable.

Je désactive fast boot et secure boot sur le Bios, j'installe Debian et là, je boucle sur le Bios au démarrage. Il n'indique plus d'ordre de boot (rien dans le menu).
Boot sur clef USB reste possible.
Par curiosité je teste une clef Manjaro qui me propose de choisir dans les bootloaders.
Le bootloader grub de Debian permet alors de démarrer.
Et là tout fonctionne parfaitement, y compris l'extinction.

Mais aucun démarrage sans cette curieuse procédure.
J'ai tenté ReFind, rien de mieux, Manjaro tout seul, rien de mieux.

Encore l'UEFI qui fait des siennes à tous les coups.
Essaye ça :

grub-install --removable


Je serais aussi intéressé par la sortie de

efibootmgr


Avec certains firmwares UEFI, on doit "enregistrer" le chargeur d'amorçage dans les paramètres de boot pour qu'ils acceptent de démarrer avec.

Si le firmware supporte l'amorçage BIOS/legacy, il peut être plus simple d'utiliser ce type d'amorçage, plus simple, pour s'épargner tous les bugs et contraintes débiles de l'amorçage UEFI natif.

Du nouveau ?
En tout cas il y a bien des entrées de boot EFI pour rEFInd et Debian. Si elles n'apparaissent pas dans les options d'amorçage UEFI du firmware, cela vient du firmware lui-même. J'ai déjà vu des firmwares qui semblaient ignorer totalement ces variables de boot.

Je suis rouge de honte et de rage !
Suite au grub-install, ça a quasi fonctionné : le Bios revoyait des bootloaders et l'un d'eux fonctonnait (UEFI je ne sais quoi) - un autre nommé debian me laissait à la porte, bloquant sur unable to load memory je ne sais plus quoi.
Bref, il fallait systématiquement passer par le Bios pour sélectionner le bon (il y avait 7 bootloaders suite à mes bidouilles antérieures).
Mais... Je les aivirés, puis ai eu l'idée idiote de reformater /boot/efi avec gparted.
Du coup suis bloqué !

As-tu une suggestion ou dois je faire une réinstall ?

Démarrer avec l'installateur en mode rescue ou un système live, chrooter le système installé, monter la partition EFI sur /boot/efi et exécuter à nouveau

grub-install --removable



Je relance aussi la sugggestion de refaire l'amorçage en mode legacy si le firmware le supporte. Moins d'ennuis.

A mon avis c'est plus simple de chrooter avec le mode rescue de l'installateur Debian que depuis un système live. Mais c'est toi qui vois...
Ce n'est pas la partition EFI qu'il faut monter sur le point de montage à chrooter, c'est la racine du système installé donc /dev/mmcblk0p2. Ne pas la monter dans /media. Et pas besoin de créer un répertoire "chroot" dans /mnt, /mnt peut servir directement de point de montage, il est prévu pour ça.

umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
umount /dev/mmcblk0p2
mount /dev/mmcblk0p2 /mnt
mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/boot/efi
mount --rbind /proc /mnt/proc
mount --rbind /dev /mnt/dev
mount --rbind /sys /mnt/sys
chroot /mnt



Note que si grub-install est disponible dans le système live, tu peux réinstaller GRUB sans chroot :

umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
umount /dev/mmcblk0p2
mount /dev/mmcblk0p2 /mnt
mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/boot/efi
grub-install --removable --boot-directory=/mnt/boot --efi-directory=/mnt/boot/efi



Edit : chroot est dans les coreutils, ce serait étonnant qu'il ne soit pas présent. Il est normalement dans /usr/sbin. Quel système live est-ce ?

C'est l'iso d-live nf 10.2.0 xf amd64 - soit sur Debian live with localisation soit sur debian installer (qui ne propose pas de recovery)

Comme je coinçais de partout, j'ai réinstallé (pas trop long car install neuve)
Il y a du mieux car ça trouve le bootloader, mais je rencontre deux sujets aléatoires :
- login/mot de passe non reconnus alors qu'ils sont bons - quand je réussis à loguer en tripotant le boot order je vois bien que c'est bon.
- le fait que l'un des bootloader ne logue pas

[Edit] Groumpf, maintenant, après avoir démarré deux fois plus ou moins péniblement, il me fait tous les gags :
- soit il bloque sur "chargement du disque mémoire initial"
- soit il bloque sur un curseur clignotant en haut à gauche et aucun accès aux tty
- quand de là j'appuie sur le bouton power, lil stoppe tous les services puis bloque sur reboot: Power down

(j'utilise systemd-swap mais dans les sessions qui ont fonctionné il n'y avait pas de problème)

[Edit 2] j'ai fait un fsck sans erreurs sur le SD et un smartcontrol short sur le HDD sans erreurs

Hello, j'ai été un peu bousculé, en déplacements et mes réponses sont hachées !
1. après avoir passé les commandes prescrites, je suis tombé sur l'interface de login, mais pas possible de se loguer because mot de passe pas reconnu...
2.depuis et ayant fait une clean install, j'en suis à :
- soit il bloque sur "chargement du disque mémoire initial"
- soit il bloque sur un curseur clignotant en haut à gauche et aucun accès aux tty
- quand de là j'appuie sur le bouton power, il stoppe tous les services puis bloque sur reboot: Power down
Puis.....
- j'ai ajouté en chroot nomodeset au grub et maintenant le blocage est du genre : "hdaudio (...) unable to bind the codec"

En mode dépannage  ça bloque sur systemd-swap :

..puis si je tapes [Entrée] je vois défiler une dizaine de lignes et ça bloque sur un curseur clignotant en haut à gauche.
Impossible d'accèder au tty.
(je n'ai pas pu activer le service haveged à ce stade)

Pour ta première question : impossible à dire : une dizaine de lignes qui défilent à toute vitesse
Pour ta seconde question : l'écran est effacé, le curseur est en haut à gauche puis à intervalle très long et très différent, arrive le message :

[2141.06.....] IPv6: ADDRCONF (NETDEV_UP): wlp1s0: link is not ready




[Edit] si j'appuie sur le bouton power, j'obtiens ceci (bloqué ensuite, seul moyen, éteindre de force)

J'ai supprimé nomodeset, je reviens au blocage initial : curseur en haut à gauche d'un écran noir muet... hmm

Entretemps, j'ai flashé le Bios qui est passé d'une 2.02 datant de 2013 à une 7.04 datant de 2016 (rien n'a changé dans le menu Bios et aucune possibilité de désactiver l'UEFI)

J'ai à nouveau tout réinstallé en prenant soin de recréer /boot/efi.
Après premier redémarrage, je n'ai pas remis systemd-swap que je mets sur toutes mes autres installs mais une swap classique :

Il me reste deux petits soucis :
- il y a trois bootloaders, seul l'UEFI OS est opérationnel, mais ils tournent et je suis obligé de repasser une fois sur deux par le Bios.
Comment ne garder que le bon ? (Exemple là : debian est repassé en premier)

C'est assez hallucinant : hier matin trois, hier soir il n'y en avait plus que deux, ce matin :

Edit : après avoir redémarré, je me rends compte qu'un message apparaît (parfois, pas toujours) très brièvement au milieu de l'écran jusque après l'écran "Medion" préboot, la seule chose que je puisse en lire est "system bootorder..."

Le système de fichiers FAT n'est pas sensible à la casse, donc peu importent les majuscules ou minuscules. Le contenu de EFI/debian et EFI/boot devrait être identique, seul le fichier shimx64.efi est renommé bootx64.efi. Donc je ne vois pas pourquoi le résultat serait différent.

Mais si seule l'entrée 0002 fonctionne, tu peux supprimer les deux autres ou les enlever du BootOrder.

Il vaut mieux montrer que raconter.

Arghhh,
je viens de le faire en supprimant le répertoire debian dans /boot/efi/EFI et en passant

sudo efibootmgr -b 0000 -B



Résultat : plus de boot du tout, ca boucle sur le message (que j'ai enfin pu lire)

System BootOrder not found. Initializing defaults.

Reset System



Dois-je encore réinstaller ?

Plus que le choix d 'UEFI (0002) et après F10 ça boucle tout pareil

[Edit] Pour voir le Bios merdique que met Medion sur ses bouses :

[Edit] j'ai réussi à remettre l'entrée de Debian en chrootant puis :

sudo apt install grub-efi
sudo grub-install /dev/mmcblk0 --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi/



Mais j'en suis donc au même point.
