[Résolu] Problème aléatoire à l'extinction de la machine (Trop long).

Bonjour,

J'ai un petit problème  à l'arrêt ou au redémarrage de PC. (C'est pas tout le temps)

Je suis sous Mate avec Archlinux d'installé.
Une carte Nvidia et le pilote propriètaire (indispensable)
Une carte audio pci Audigy 2 ZS.
Un noyau 5.4.35-1-lts et le 5.6

Dans le /etc/systemd/logind.conf j'ai décommenté le :

KillUserProcesses=yes



J'utilise en permanence un script pour voir le log shutdown-log.txt qui ne varie pas d'un poil dans mes arrêts ou reboot.

La seul piste que j'ai et qui pour moi est une évidence, c'est le temps que ça met pour que le PC s'arrête qui est d'une minute montre en main.
Le problème se produit le plus souvent lors de l'écoute d'une radio en streaming avec Deadbeef et que je stop franco avant l'arrêt dans la foulé de l'ordi ou bien avec un streaming visionné avec firefox et que je ferme par sa croix.
L'extinction de la machine se fait par Système -- Éteindre , sous Mate.
Je remarque que ce GUI à un compte à rebour de 60 secondes avant arrêt sans intervention de l'utilisateur.
On dirait que c'est le compte à rebours qui s'effectue et pas l'action immédiate de l'utisateur sur le bouton Arrêt.
J'ai donc cet écran noir avec le tiret qui clignote pendant 1 minutes avant l'arrêt ou le reboot.
J'ai donc fait deux commande sur mon tableau de bord avec :

systemctl poweroff



et

systemctl reboot



Ces deux commande, elles, n'ont pas de problème. Si je passe par elles, ce bug disparait.

Je n'arrive pas à trouver quelles commandes sont utilisées par le gui.

Je n'ai aucune freeze, pas de problème de mémoire, de disques durs en apparence et juste ce maigre indice.

Avec ce problème, je ne sais même pas les fichiers logs que je peux vous faire voir.

Bon par prudence, j'ai fait un clonage de mon dique de 80 go ( déjà viellisant) et restauré tout ça sur un WD Blue de 500go quasi neuf.
Ce disque de 80 go m'inquiète un peu, par moment, on dirait "qu'il se coupe" (comme un petit clac et un bruit de redémarrage).
Mise à part une grande surface non allouée sur mon disque, qui me servira pour mon home juste devant, je vais partir sur ça et tester si le problème persiste. smile

Ce n'est pas grave, j'ai les mêmes. C'est un système très pointu de mesures de performances du noyau.
Je ne sais pas trop à quoi ça sert…

Je viens de voir que j'ai passé en résolu sans vraiment mettre la solution.

C'est les services LVM2

J'ai désactivé et masqué tous ce qui si rapproche.

LVM c'est un super système, je l'utilise depuis 2007. Ça me permet de faire évoluer la taille
de mes « partitions = volumes logiques » à chaud. Ça me permet aussi d'agréger 2 disques durs
et d'avoir mes volumes logiques comme si je n'avais qu'un seul disque.

Après c'est un choix lors de l'installation. Évidemment je pourrais faire sans. En 2007, j'ai juste voulu essayer,
c'était le choix proposé par défaut lors de l'installation de je ne sais plus quelle version de debian wink
Depuis, j'ai appris à m'en servir et j'ai gardé cette façon de faire. Ça fait aussi un truc de plus à apprendre.
Je comprends qu'on n'ait pas envie de l'utiliser.

de toute façon, je viens de remettre ma sauvegarde car je ne sais pas si c'est une impression, mais sans LVM, mon bureau est moins réactif.
Un exemple à ma connection, un fond noir de 3 secondes puis mon beau fond d'écran....

Je ne sais pas si c'est lié, mais en tout cas c'est un constat smile
Ça glisse, c'est rapide ...

Ça n'a rien à voir. Soit tu utilises LVM car ton système a été initialisé pour cela.
Soit tu as fait un partitionnement classique auquel cas LVM ne te sert effectivement
à rien.
Ça se fait lors de l'installation après c'est trop tard à moins de tout refaire.
Donc je ne sais pas ce que tu imagines à ce sujet…
Pour savoir tu peux faire :


fdisk -l
 


Une partition initialisée pour LVM devrait avoir un numéro d'id de 8e et un type Linux LVM.

Bref tu n'as pas de partition en LVM, et donc tu n'as pas besoin de LVM…
Tu dois pouvoir purger le paquet lvm2. Quant à ton impression de ralentissement je ne sais
d'où ça peut venir mais certainement pas de là.

EDIT: pense à purger le paquet udisks2-lvm2 (il dépend de lvm2).

Non mais, c'est un faux problème de dépendance. Il suffit de supprimer libblockdev-lvm2.
Mais peut-être que ça va râler parce il existe un paquet libblock-dev-plugins-all qui les installe tous.
Il suffit de garder juste ceux dont tu as besoin. Dans aptitude en ncurses, ça se voit bien mais évidemment
je ne sais comment sont fichus les dépendances des paquets archlinux…

J'ai trois fois plus de services démarrés que toi et mon démarrage dure à peu près la même durée. La génération des nombres aléatoires dure trop longtemps chez toi, tu devrais essayer d'installer le paquet haveged qui est prévu pour ces cas :

Je confirme que maintenant le problème est bien résolu sur ma machine.
On désinstallant proprement lvm2 de mon ordinateur, ces reboot ou ces arrêts trainant en longueur n'ont plus recommencé.
Ce problème chez moi à commencé vers les kernels en versions 5.

ça pourra toujours servir, car sur ce problème, je ne suis pas le seul. smile

modifie ton fichier system.conf (/etc/systemd/system.conf)
Remplace: #DefaultTimeoutStopSec=90s
par: DefaultTimeoutStopSec=30s
(Enlève bien le #) , c’est le minimum qu’on peut mettre)

C'est Before=shutdown.target dans le fichier usr/lib/systemd/system/lvm2-lvmetad.service qui manquait dans la version que j'avais lors de mon post smile
