Écran HDMI non détecté

Bonjour,

Mon boulot vient de m'acheter un super écran : un Samsung 32" LU32R590CWEXXS.
Sauf que celui-ci n'est pas détecté par mon ordinateur portable Lenovo Y520-15IKBM-80YY.
Celui-ci est sous Linux Debian 10.9 il me semble (je ne sais pas comment vérifier ça) avec Mate.

Je suis à l'aise avec la ligne de commande mais je n'y connais pas grand chose dans l'administration matériel.
Donc merci de me dire exactement les commandes à taper.
Et si possible, les explications pour que je comprenne ce que je fais car j'aimerai bien m'améliorer dans ce domaine.

la première chose est de vérifier si ton portable supporte la 4k
ps: par exemple tester avec un écran en full HD voir si la sortie fonctionne

Merci anonyme pour cette 1ère réponse.

Je ne suis pas sûr d'avoir tout bien compris par contre.
Mais je vais tacher de faire une réponse exhaustives qui devrait répondre à tes questions.

Actuellement, mon écran de portable est en 1920x1080 60Hz.
Ce qui correspond à du full hd si je ne me trompe pas.

J'essaye de connecter un monitor externe sur le port HDMI du portable.
Ce monitor est un 4K UHD soit une résolution de 3840x2160.
D'après la doc de mon PC, il peut sortir cette résolution sur le port HDMI.

J'ai pu tester le monitor externe sur un autre PC sans problème.
Il était bien en 3840x2160 mais je pouvais mettre moins aussi : je l'ai également testé en 1920x1080.

Je n'ai pas d'autres écrans pour le tester sur ce portable.

Je viens d'installer le paquet bumblebee mais l'écran/le port HDMI ne marche pas plus.

tout est correct , mise a part ce souci d'écran externe
oui la 4k est compatible avec tes 2 gpu a 60hz
tu n'a pas un bouton du clavier pour basculer sur un écran externe ?
ps: désolé mais au niveau portable je suis pas top  smile

a priori tu n'a pas besoin de bumblebee si "DRI-PRIME" fonctionne

de ton #1 tu avait une bonne config avant d installer "bumblebee"

ok j'ai donc re-désinstallé bumblebee et ses dépendances.

J'ai bien un bouton qui ressemble à ça sur mon clavier : Fn + F10 mais il n'a aucun effet.

Je viens d'apercevoir un truc :
Lorsque j'allume mon ordi, l'écran se réveille puis s'éteint après quelques secondes.
Donc j'imagine qui détecte bien un signal passant par le HDMI.

Je viens également de découvrir 2 réglages possibles sur mon écran :
- HDMI mode : 1.4 / 2.0 (par défaut sur 2.0)
- PC/AV mode HDMI : PC / AV (par défaut sur PC)
J'ai tenté de changer ces valeurs mais rien n'y fait.
Mais il faut peut-être faire quelques choses sur l'ordi aussi après avoir changé ces valeurs ?

tu n'a pas de sortie DP (display port)  ?
sinon je ne vois pas , tu n'est pas le seul a avoir eu ce problème sur le forum

ps: si tu utilise le bouton "recherche" sur le forum , mot clé "Écran HDMI non détecté"  tu a quelques réponses (mais pas de resolu )

Oui j'ai vu que le problème était courant.

Oui j'ai une sortie DP sur le portable et une entrée sur l'écran aussi.
Mais je n'ai pas de câble DP sous la main.
J'irai en acheter un demain en espérant que ça marche mieux.

xrandr ne devrait-il pas afficher toutes les sorties vidéo présentes, même non connectées ? En tout cas c'est ce que j'observe sur mes machines. Or ici seule la sortie eDP (écran intégré) est affichée.

Il vaut mieux montrer que raconter.

Ah ! une nouvelle piste ?
Ça serait un problème avec xrand ?
Quelqu'un pour me dire quoi faire ?

Je suis à l'étranger avec 6h de décalage.
Je dois donc vous quitter mais je repasserai demain pour la suite.
Et sûrement avec un câble DisplayPort pour tester ça aussi.

il vaut mieux utiliser le log de X (a mon avis xrandr fonctionne bien , ton écran est éteint c'est le portable qui pose problème sur debian )

tu vois que j'ai 1 DVI , 1 HDMI et 3 DP (le reste est fictif (interne) )
le log me dit la même chose que xrandr

ceci me dit sur quoi la machine boot => NVIDIA(0):     DFP-0 (boot)  qui correspond au DVI (sortie sur la carte )
donc sur ta carte active (intel 630) le log doit nous donner des informations sur les sorties pour l'écran
sur "nouveau" tu n'aura normalement rien puisque par défaut l'écran est sur la carte par défaut "intel 630"
ton bureau est ?

donc après vérification 5 sorties physique et 3 virtuelle
ça commence a 0 => 7  donc 8 sorties (dont 3 sans connectique )
tu dois retrouver entre xrandr et ton log de X le même genre d information
si sur le log de X , tu n'a que la sortie eDP de l'écran du portable un souci ...............  roll

remarque: tu dois avoir dans la section "intel" du log au moins 3 sorties identifiées  , eDP (écran portable ) , HDMI et DP sortie sur le portable .

une remarque , la commande "xrandr" ce fait en user (pas en root) ; le nombre de définitions que donne xrandr confirme la remarque de raleur

j'ai pas de gpu intel 630 sous la main mais je sais que ça fonctionne
il reste plus que trouver la raison pourquoi les sorties ne sont pas actives
bumblebee est inutile , le switch se fait avec le paquet "switchroo-control" et la commande "DRI_PRIME=0" (ou 1)

je crois que j'ai tout dit , a toi de vérifier que tu a bien les sorties attendues .
pense a faire tes commandes en user et avec "DRI PRIME=0" ou 1
par exemple

rappel : tu démarre sur le gpu intel par défaut

J'ai installé le package intel-microcode que je n'avais pas.
Mais j'avais bien firmware-misc-nonfree.

dans mate-tweak tu choisi "marco sans compositeur pour enlever le bug
je l'ai résolu aussi en passant a bullseye et remettre "marco avec compositeur"  (noyau 5.10)
toi a priori le bug sur intel , moi sur la GTX1060 (je t ai mit un lien a lire pour ce bug )

ps: toujours pas de sorties sur xrandr , je regarde tes retours

Bon, je crois qu'il est temps d'aller acheter un câble DisplayPort en espérant que ça marche ainsi.
Mais je suis prêt à poursuivre pour le HDMI car un jour, j'aurai peut-être envie d'un 2ème écran externe !

redémarre pour nettoyer le log de X ( remplacer a chaque démarrage )
les lignes ne doivent plus apparaître
donc tu n'a pas toucher a marco de mate ?

J'ai effectivement réussi à corriger ce bug via mate-tweak.

Installé linux-image-5.3.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 ne servait apparemment à rien.
Si je tente de le désinstaller, on me dit que c'est dangereux donc je ne l'ai pas fait.

Mais juste un peu !

Lorsque je lance une application avec DRI_PRIME=0 ou DRI_PRIME=1, elle s'ouvre toujours sur on écran de portable.
J'ai testé avec l'application chromium.

Voici ce que j'ai dans Système / Préférences / Matériels / Affichage :

Je viens de penser à une chose peut-être importante :
Mon PC a été acheté en France.
Mon monitor a été acheté en Asie.
Il ne pourrait pas y avoir un problème à cause de ça ?
Un problème d'incompatibilité matériel à cause de la région et des normes qui sont légèrement différentes ?

Je file acheter un câble DisplayPort.

non je suis comme les chats je sort la nuit  tongue  lol
moi mate-tweak ou bullseye a résolu le problème , mais bon sur la GTX1060 pas sur le skylake 630 (que je n'ai pas)
mon cpu est un quad 9550 , une antiquité smile
pour le moniteur il y a des normes , normalement mondiale
non c'est les portables qui sont pénibles sous GNU Linux (je suis sur que sous windows c'est nickel  roll  )
