Lamentable installation de Stretch.

Bonjour à tous smile

Je me suis lamentablement planté sur l'installe de Stretch, sur ce Pavilion HP : https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/document/c05300962

C'était lent, lourd, jamais vus ça sous Stretch en XFCE.
J'ai tenté le coup avec Ubuntu 16.04. Là aussi, forcément, c'est lent. Mais surtout, j'avais de gros problèmes de plantages.
Pendant l'utilisation, au reboot après image CloneZila, etc.

Je pense avoir identifié le problème.
C'est la carte WiFi Realtek.

Mes recherches m'ont conduit à ces adresses :

Un /home séparé (sur un seul dd, ouais...). C'est idem.

Cette fichue carte Wifi est-lle réellement incompatible avec Linux ?
Chez Realtek, je ne vois pas de driver pour Linux.

Le plantage lamentable, c'est de vouloir utiliser un Pavilion.

Qu'est-ce qui te fait penser cela ?
Elle marche ou pas ?
Machine récente ? Tu as regardé du côté du GPU Intel qui n'est pas identifié par lspci, donc peut-être trop récent ou exotique pour les pilotes graphiques de Stretch.
EDIT : Non, l'identifiant PCI est bien listé dans les alias du module i915 du noyau 4.9.

Evidemment. Le partitionnement n'a pas d'influence significative sur la rapidité du système.

il te faut le firmware AMD => firmware-amd-graphics
tu peu fonctionner en libre mais ne me demande pas comment fonctionne un portable avec 2 gpu intel + amd  , je connais pas roll

pour celui ci

tester avec le noyau des backports et le firmware intel => firmware-misc-nonfree ( pas sur que le noyau 4.9 et mesa13 prenne bien en charge le gpu intel de génération 7 en mobile ).
au pire fait directement un test en testing , par contre renseigne toi sur la prise en charge de deux gpu "intel + amd" sous debian

@raleur : oui, la carte wifi fonctionne. Mais j'ai vu des tas de sujets sur différents forums : cette carte faisait foirer des bécanes Linux. C'est donc elle que je soupçonne.

@robert2a : oui, j'ai les paquets pour la cg Radeon. Pour l'Intel, là...

Pourquoi les sections contrib et non-free sont-elle activées sur les dépôts de sécurité et mises à jour mais pas sur le dépôt principal ?

Et tu as essayé de la désactiver pour voir ce que ça donne ?

Quant aux backports, quelle est la syntaxe ?

@raleur : non. Pas encore désactivé la carte wifi. Mais le microcode Intel, effectivement, Synaptic ne l'installe pas : il manque un paquet quelque part. J'aurais dû le noter. Là, je fais une image avant d'aller plus loin.

Le microcode Intel est pour le CPU, rien à voir avec un firmware pour GPU ou carte réseau.

Ton sources.list a des doublons pour security, mais en plus il est incohérent : certains lignes ont non-free et contrib, d'autres non.

Bon. J'ai réglé des trucs.
Notamment le sources.list.

C'est au démarrage que l'OS m'indique qu'il y a un problème avec la carte WiFi. Et aussi celle bluetooth. D'où mon idée que c'est l'une d'elles qui pose problème.
Il m'a fait faire un


apt --fix -broken install
 



Le microcode Intel est passé (le CPU, oui, bien sûr). La Radeon aussi. Me reste la carte graphique Intel et la bluetooth. Mais j'hésite à installer cette dernière : énormes ressources réseaux !

Je commence à avoir des doutes sur le hardware, là.
Il me suffit d'éjecter un dd externe avec Thunar, par exemple, pour que tout plante. Redémarrage par le bouton power.
Après une image, je tente une install de Windows 8.1 64. Il devrait démarrer plus vite qu'avec Seven, par exemple. Si, là aussi, il rame, c'est que quelque chose n'est pas normal.

Ouais...
Sous Windows 8, il était nettement plus véloce et surtout stable.
Je suis reparti sous Ubuntu 18.04 : il n'y a pas photo. Idem que Windows 8.
J'ai beaucoup à apprendre sur les noyaux... Là, ce n'est pas juste une question de drivers. Ou alors : je les ai mal installés ?

Vu que c'est un matériel assez récent, c'est ce qui me fait peur au sujet de la tour que je vais faire monter. Socket 1151...

Où est-ce que j'ai pu me gourer comme ça ?

Non, pas essayé le 4.19 .
J'ai installé avec l' ISO 9?7. Un Dvd 9.7 : "debian-9.7.0-amd64-DVD-1.jigdo" . Ici : https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cu … jigdo-dvd/
C'est une erreur ?
Il y a d'ailleurs souvent plusieurs DVD : DVD1, DVD2...
Lequel choisir ? 
Ca m'arrangerait bien de tout recommencer avec un Debian bien fourni en pilotes ! wink

en général , le dvd 1 contient l'essentiel de ce que l'on a besoin .

enfin , pour les besoins les plus courants .

mais tu sera rarement pris en défaut avec .

Ca m'arrangerait bien de tout recommencer avec un Debian bien fourni en pilotes !

Donc, mieux vaudrait télécharger toutes ces ISO et, durant la réinstallation, les insérer sous forme de DVD, lorsque le programme d'installation demande des pilotes ? Pas mal... C'est bien ça ?

Parce que, après tout, il y a bien des gens travaillant sous Stretch avec du matériel récent ? Forcément !

La démarche est d'installer d'abord avec une iso net install.
Pour un pc avec du matériel récent, on peut utiliser une iso avec des firmawres non-free qui peuvent faire l'affaire.
Voici l'iso dans le lien :

Et tu choisis le lien :
firmware-9.7.0-amd64-netinst.iso  smile

Tu colles ça sur une cle usb (ou un cdrom) et tu boot dessus

Normalement tu auras un truc stable et en pointe.
Ensuite, si tu rencontres des difficultés, tu pourras partir de cette installation  pour les régler en informant le forum, par exemple depuis un second pc si l'installation de base ne le permet pas.

Ca a l'ai d'y être. Il est stable.
Il démarre plus vite. Pas plus qu'Ubuntu 18, mais c'est franchement mieux que ce que j'avais fait avant vos conseils wink

Je vais donc corriger ce sources.list.

Quant à Dropbox, là... J'ai installé le greffon pour Dolphin.
Ici : https://www.dropbox.com/fr/help/desktop … x-commands une procédure d'installation. Je verrai ce que ça donne sous Debian.

Quelques détails.
Au démarrage, l'écran affiche que l'OS ne trouve pas certains périphériques.
- le bluetooth : j'hésite à l'installer, c'est très lourd. Et l'utilisatrice n'en n'a pas besoin.
- ACPI : drivers de la carte mère, ça.

Quant à la caméra, comment savoir si elle fonctionne ?
