Soucis de configuration double ecran avec MSI GL75SFK

Bonjour, je viens d’acquérir un ordinateur portable MSI GL75SFK et j'ai plusieurs soucis de configuration.

Pour ce premier poste je vais vous demander de l'aide pour comprendre ce qui change dans la gestion d'un écran en HDMI car je n'ai jamais rencontré ce problème ...

Voici ma configuration matériel:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CometLake-H GT2 [UHD Graphics] (rev 05)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU106M [GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile / Max-Q Refresh] (rev a1)

J'ai réussi à installer le pilote nvidia pour la carte graphique et l'écran branché sur HDMI fonctionne parfaitement mais impossible d'avoir accès à l'écran du portable qui reste noir.

Depuis deux semaines je recherche dans les différents forum et celui de DF mais je n'arrive pas à trouver de réponse.

Je viens de découvrir l'existence de BUMBLEBEE mais je ne suis pas sûr que cela réglera mon soucis d'avoir deux écrans qui fonctionne.

J'ai bien compris le fonctionnement avec OPTIRUN pour utiliser la carte graphique lors du lancement de l'application: par exemple optirun blender.

Avec le pilote de nvidia, j'ai même réussi à activer le CUDA, c'est dire que je suis satisfait de mon installation ...

Mais je n'ai pas réussi à activer l'écran du portable et cela m'embête beaucoup: d'où ma question est ce que si j'installe BUMBLEBEE, j'aurais accès aux deux écrans?

Si vous avez la réponse, je vous remercie par avance.

Pour l'installation de BUMBLEBEE, je pense que je pourrais me débrouiller. Pour ceux qui cherche une procédure, voici un très bon tuto sur le site:

ps: je préfèrerai si possible installer seulement le pilote nvidia et ne pas utiliser BUMBLEBEE car je ne suis pas un joueur, j'utilise seulement cette carte pour blender avec le CUDA.

si tu peu préciser ton bureau et quelle debian tu a installé , buster ?
en général c'est la sortie HDMI qui ne fonctionne pas ..........
sinon il te faut le firmware pour intel , paquet "firmware-misc-nonfree"

pour bumblebee , il ne faut pas installer le driver nvidia , c'est le paquet bumblebee-nvidia qui va l'installer
pendant l'installation de debian , l'écran du portable a fonctionner ?

sinon en théorie , l'écran utiliser est celui du portable sur le gpu intel
bumblebee permet de basculer de intel sur nvidia (le but est d' économiser  la batterie , l' écran interne et l'externe bascule de intel sur nvidia )

encore en théorie les deux écrans doivent fonctionner et en général en mode étendu (mais bon sur les portables souvent il y a des problèmes

pour comprendre il faut plus d' informations , on peu envisager une panne sur le portable aussi , si l'écran du portable a jamais fonctionner .

La référence n'existe pas ; ce ne serait pas MSI GL75 Leopard 10SFK ? Un exemple sous Kali Linux.

Le GPU Intel (d'identifiants PCI 8086:9bc4) est pris en charge par le noyau (i915) en version 5.2+...

Les retours montreront la prise en charge du GPU et les éventuels firmwares non libres manquants.
Selon ton profil tu utilises testing, d'ailleurs ce GPU NVIDIA est pris en charge en version 440.100+.

xrandr --prop

ou

xrandr --verbose


Si tu n'utilises pas Wayland, poste aussi le journal du serveur X (chemin variable suivant le bureau).

edit: selon la doc (p. 24), la commutation d’écrans serait gérée au clavier par la combinaison Fn+F2.

Je suis sur débian 11 et KDE.

L’ordinateur est neuf. J’ai installé DEBIAN à la place de WINDOW. Pas de soucis le portable fonctionne parfaitement sur l’écran du portable seul, mais pas possible de faire fonctionner la sortie HDMI. J’ai tout essayé …

Ensuite j’ai installé les pilotes NVIDIA et lors du redémarrage du PC, seul l’écran branché en HDMI fonctionnais, l’écran du portable restait noir. J’ai de nouveau tout essayé et je me suis arraché les cheveux …

J’ai désinstallé les pilotes NVIDIA et l’écran du portable fonctionnait mais plus l’écran en HDMI.

J'ai essayé de répondre au mieux à vos demandes mais je ne comprend pas les sorties du terminalscratchhead.gif

Au final, je pense que je vais installer BUMBLEBEE car si je comprends bien, il va permettre de fonctionner seulement sur la carte graphique RTX et ne plus utiliser la carte graphique du CPU et les deux écrans fonctionneront big_smile

Je pense que je vais tester cette semaine. Je croise les doigts.

je laisse faire èfpé pour te donner la meilleure méthode pour faire fonctionner la sortie HDMI
ps: pour Wayland tu est sur ? ton bureau est sous X ?

quand a bumblebee , c'est peut être pas la meilleure solution pour le switch entre intel et nvidia (les deux cartes sont noter "VGA" et pas "VGA et 3D")

Le log de X étant trop vieux, comme tu dis, que dois-je faire pour rectifier, je pourrais déjà régler ce soucis wink
Je suis de nouveau sur le module "nouveau" car l'installation des pilotes nvidia fais fonctionner l'écran secondaire mais plus mon écran du portable (un peu gênant si je veux utiliser mon portable en nomade).
Pour WAYLAND, quand je recherche sur SYNAPTIC, xwayland n'est pas installé. Il y a aussi wayland-protocols, wayland-scanner++ et waylandpp-dev qui ne sont pas installés. Je vais aller me renseigner sur ce paquet pour voir à quoi il sert car je ne connais pas smile
Quand tu dis "ton bureau est sous X? tu veux dire quoi? J'utilise l'ordi en mode graphique avec KDE donc sous X, non?
Tu penses que bumblebee n'est pas la solution à mon problème ? Je l'installerai seulement si il règle mon problème de HDMI sinon l'installation des pilotes nvidia me suffirait car au moins je sais ce que je fais. Avec bumblebee et wayland, je m'y perd un peu.
Pour ta dernière remarque, c'est peu être dû au fait d'être sur le module "nouveau" et non sur les pilotes nvidia? Si les deux cartes sont notées VGA ou lieu de VGA et 3D, ça veut dire quoi? Il me semblait avoir lu quelque part que le module "nouveau" prenait en charge la carte RTX2070, non? Pour CUDA et l'accèlération graphique par contre c'était moins sûr.
Désolé de mon manque de compétence dans ce domaine, mais même si quelquefois je galère avec DEBIAN, je n'ai jamais eu ce soucis. Comme je n'ai jamais eu d'ordinateur très récent, le matériel n'a jamais été une source de problème smile
Pour le moment l'ordi fonctionne, mais le double écran me manque quand même ...

Tu peux par exemple lister les deux répertoires dans lesquels il est susceptible de se trouver ; soit :

ls -lh /var/log/Xorg.*.log

ls -lh ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.*.log


Il est curieux que la commande xrandr ne retourne qu'une sortie. À comparer avec l'exemple en #3.

KDE comme Gnome le log est ici  =>  "/home/banane/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log"    (/.local  est un dossier caché )

le souci c'est que le tien est du 18 juillet 2021 alors que moi (allumer la machine aujourd'hui)  => "Time: Wed Aug 18 20:11:45 2021"  (18 aout 2021)
il me semble que KDE tourne sous Wayland (si possible) comme Gnome (mais suis pas sur)

Pour ce que j'ai pu en voir, la session Plasma (Wayland) n'est pas installée par défaut ; selon le wiki :

Il semble de plus qu'avec le pilote nouveau le journal du serveur X se trouve en /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

@Gundabhad: la page NVIDIA Optimus du wiki officiel présente toutes les alternatives à Bumblebee.

Je vous remercie pour vos réponses. Je vais devoir travailler tout ça (WAYLAND, BUMBLEBEE, etc)

Je vous avoue que j'ai quelques petits soucis perso à résoudre et je n'ai pas remis le nez dans la configuration de mon ordi.

Dans un mois j'aurais un peu plus de temps, car quand je cherche à comprendre cela me prend des heures et pour le moment, beh c'est pas trop le moment sad.

Pour le modérateur du forum, nous pouvons laisser ma demande en attente ou alors la clôturer, je reviendrai vers vous avec peut-être plus de compétences, voir une solution smile

J'ai quelques petites nouvelles, après avoir essayé de comprendre BUMBLEBEE, WAYLAND et d'autre, j'ai décidé de ne pas essayer ce que je ne comprends pas et je me suis lancé dans l'installation des pilotes nvidia, CUDA mais cela ne fonctionnait toujours pas.
Et je me suis aidé du lien suivant "https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA … (Français)"

j'ai créé un fichier de configuration du serveur graphique "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia-optimus.conf"

Ensuite Afin que l'environnement graphique puisse utiliser l'affichage graphique, il faut que xrandr s'exécute avant l'environnement graphique.

Pour KDE SDDM (voir le lien pour les autres startx, LXDM, ...)

Il faut modifier le fichier /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup et mettre les deux lignes suivantes en début de fichier

xrandr --setprovideroutputsource modesetting NVIDIA-0
xrandr --auto

Et au redémarrage, les deux écrans fonctionnent.

Si d'autres veulent essayer, chez moi, ça fonctionne nickel (espérons que cela dur tongue)

Allez voir le WIKI, cela sera sûrement plus clair.

PS: pour les pilotes nvidia c'est simple ... je pourrais éventuellement, vous fournir le lien (d'ailleurs, je crois que c'est un lien de DEBIAN FACILE wink.
