Timeshift ou deja dup

Bonjour à tous,

j'ai testé timeshift et deja dup et j'ai quelques questions :
lequel utilisez-vous
quel est le plus complet
faut-il sauvegarder /root
j'ai constaté que timeshift est plus rapide par contre à la fin de la sauvegarde par deja dup j'ai ce message : " impossible de sauvegarder assurez-vous de pouvoir les ouvrir "

Personnellement j'utilise deja-dup sauvegarde sur disque externe planifié par semaine, si le disque est absent j'ai un message qui me prévient que la sauvegarde débutera des que le support sera connecté
Vérifié que ton support de destination ne soit pas saturé, cela peut arrivé si tu n'as pas pensé a exclure certain point de montage qui pourrait contenir beaucoup trop de volume de données


Il me semble que timeshift n'est pas un logiciel de sauvegarde mais + un logiciel qui créé des points de restauration un peu comme sur Windows
c'est pour cela qu'il te semble plus rapide

Personnellement, j'utilise timeshift.
Je ne connais pas deja dup.

timeshift est prévu pour sauvegarder le système au vu d'une restauration.
Mais il fait aussi très bien le taf pour de la sauvegarde de données.

Pour ton message, je dirais que c'est un problème de droits.
deja dup se lance-t-il avec des droits root ?

Bonjour,
je n'utilise pas time shit mais deja-dup.
Depuis 3 ans, il fait une sauvegarde par semaine avec un roulement sur "au moins les 6 derniers mois", sur disque interne mais pas systématiquement monté.
Aucun problème à ce jour.

Bonjour et bonne année 2022 !

J'utilise deja-dup, mes sauvegardes se font sur des supports de stockage ayant un système de fichiers UDF. Déjà, je surveille le disque de destination afin qu'il ne se remplisse pas trop !
Le remplissage de mon support de stockage destination de la sauvegarde :

df --type=udf | grep sdc

J'avais eu un message qui me disait à peu près la même chose que le tien, alors j'ai viré des vidéos ( dans la source de la sauvegarde ) que je croyais que j'allais regarder à nouveau, alors qu'il s'était passé des mois sans que je les regarde, justement pour faire de la place !




Dans Préférences-> Folders, je choisis de sauvegarder que le dossier utilisateur, en plus j'exclus la sauvegarde des dossiers qui me sont d'aucune utilité, le cache, les caches des navigateurs, le dossier Téléchargements ( je n'ai qu'à ranger correctement mes fichiers ! ) et depuis, je vire de temps en temps des vidéos pour arriver à rester en dessous des 75 % d'utilisation du disque de destination.

Je me donc suis fixé une marge restante de 25 % qui me sert éventuellement à sauvegarder provisoirement et éventuellement des documents que je jugerais très importants avant de les mettre ailleurs pour revenir à ma marge de sécurité.

Et cela roule !
